I enjoyed the overall look of this charging stand for the Pokeball Plus controller. As you can see in the pictures, I think it looks great design-wise. It is not too bulky, and fits nicely next to the console. The piece that attaches to the pokeball plus fits well also. As far as things that I didn't like, they aren't many. One thing that bothered me slightly is that it is a little hard to tell when the pokeball is aligned right in the stand. There is no click, and it doesn't hold it's position firmly. The charging sound effect that the Pokeball Plus controller makes helps fix that. Also, I think the product appears to be slightly taller in the picture on akiya-switch.com than it actually is. Not that that was a deal-breaker, but I think I would have liked it a little more accurate. Overall, I think this is a great product that is stylistically and realistically pleasing!
With a proper mounting surface and some patience with the settings you can get a little bit of the Mario GP experience in your home space. Follow the manual to change the amount of turn radius to 180 degrees. The default 270 is better for other racing games with a fuller turn radius. Secondly I found the best dead zone center point is 1 the lowest and the sensitivity setting is best all the way up to the highest setting of 7. This seems to allow for the best ability to make sudden steering changes and adjust to steering into drift. In the higher CC races 150 and up you will start needing to brake more often and these setting work well there. Turning off the smart steering is a must as well in the game. Tilt vs. Analog selection doesn't appear to make a difference. Surprisingly immersive for a fairly basic wheel. The pedals have strong springs and the wheel has a nice feel and size. It snaps back to center perfectly if you are that type of driver. My only complaint would be the super thin paddles that function as R and L they work well but they feel thin and I could see them wearing out after many sessions. The ZR and ZL buttons built into the wheel also support the same functions but they can be hit on accident in the heat of a race. This wheel is fun and sturdy and surprisingly responsive giving me a reason to play MK8 again. I tried this with Asphalt and it is just too fast and twitchy of a racing game for this wheel however.
Was really excited to try the built in Ethernet port. Unfortunately the pictures in the review tell the story that the download speed was significantly slower on the powerbay Ethernet compared to my 3.0 usb adapter. Returned the item :-/
Great amiibo. Must have for all Bayonetta fans. A bit bigger, then usual amiibo.
The case for this controller is phenomenal! I wamt to buy another simply for how awesome it looks! However, the feel to it feels hollow and cheap. Within the week, the left joystick began to drift left alomg with the R and X buttons sometimes not being responsive. I give this controller a 3* simply because of its casing. The functionality brings it down, way down...you're better off purchasing a different controller. I will buy a second controller for another test.
I recently had the yellow and grey version, but returned it because I regretted getting it and wanted to order those Binbok joy cons.long story short, I trust hori more so I got these. Before getting them, I played some games without rumble (to see if I would be okay without it) and decided that I’m most games rumble isn’t that significant. It would still be call if they added it though. And motion controls I NEVER use. I got the gengar version and it does not disappoint. It really looks amazing. I do not regret it, the quality is good, back buttons are a cool addition, and so are turbo buttons. The joysticks are definitely the best part about them, and while playing Pokémon suite of Mario odyssey, they make the game play ALOT better. Face buttons are a bit mushy but not that noticeable, D pad felt a bit stiff at first but then felt much better after a while. Triggers are clicks and responsive and so are the shoulder buttons. Back buttons are also clicks. They are lightweight. My favorite part though has to be the design and color way. It looks really cool and sometimes I just sit there and admire it. And compared to the joycons, the ergonomics are perfect and they even have a texture in the back of them. All in all, I definitely think these are worth it and gaming with them is a whole experience! Edit: less than one month later. I didn’t use my switch for about a week, and when u started playing on it again, everything seemed to be fine. Then out of nowhere, the lady controller just did not work anymore. I am going to return this, I really wanted to like. I might try again but this time with the red version.
It is clearly used. It came with "peyton" written on it. The USB c connector that connects to the switch looks like has been smashed and bent backwards. Terrible quality.
this product is absolutely gorgeous & fits my switch oled perfectly! it's not too bulky & as a sailor moon fan, the attention to detail is just lovely. thank you so much, i am in love with every piece in this set & it's a fantastic price for the amount of stuff you get! thanks so much beluga !! 🤍
Alright, I reviewed too soon. I was putting the switch on the wrong side. You are meant to put it on the side the game cases are on. That puts it in the hard case section and keeps the zipper off of it. Plus it allows for the middle section to be latched to keep it from moving. I'll leave the pictures up so you can see how not to use the case ;) (I'm a dork sometimes). Anyways... I haven't used it much but so far it looks to be a good case. The middle section keeps it tight in its spot and it has a nice hard case around the bottom side with a soft middle thing keeping it in place. Plus a really nice look to it. It has a decent amount of space on the other side for random cords if you want and a zippered pocket in the middle strap to keep small items from rattling around. I bought it because it came highly recommended from the two people who responded to me asking for a case suggestion (both suggested this one). Edit: After having this case for 1 year and a half or two years I'm going to post a few downsides to it. First of all their solution for keeping physical games is pretty annoying. They fall out if you don't watch it when you open the case and then when you open them you have to be very careful or all the cartridges will fall out or even get thrown out. Secondly it has a tiny strap for strapping it into the case. For one the velcro will get very worn very quickly (and did) on that little tiny patch and secondly it would get caught in the zipper a lot (to the point mine got ripped and eventually fell off). The case is great for the outside (Though mine now the rubber outside is torn on some spots but it's just cosmetic reelly) and will protect the Nintendo but some of the interior design could have been better thought out. I will say if you are digital only it is probably nice having a nice pouch (where I put the cable) to put stuff in vs. having a cartridge holder on the middle part <- the other design I've seen on a similar style case that overall I thought was better designed inside the case).
I recently built a powerful PC with a very good graphics card and wanted to try some games on it. One of the games was a racing game (Asphalt 9), but playing it with the keyboard and mouse was very frustrating. I was looking for a joystick when I saw this racing wheel. I've never owned anything like it and decided to give it a try. I have to say that using the wheel, the game immediately became playable, and I was able to not only enjoy it, but also win the races. Installation of the controller was just a matter of plugging it in the USB port and launching the game. Everything worked flawlessly. Pros: - Plug and play, no installation required on windows 10 - Recognized by the game automatically - Works well and significantly improves the experience of a driving game Cons: - Obviously it is quite bulky, so you better have some space for it. I'm keeping it under my desk - The desk clamps work but are a bit flimsy. During a tough race I pulled it out just by driving hard to a side - No force feedback Overall, it is a very nice controller for any driving game. Ordered and came on time. Game came in pristine condition, factory wrapped, game cartridge in perfect in condition. Booted up the game and so far, smooth sails. I don’t think there was a manual that came with it, I’m probably mistaken as I’m not familiar with switch games but totally legit seller.
I'd like to start out by saying that this is not a comparison review. I have never played the Wii U version of this game. I won't go on about saying how this is just an "HD" or a "Remastered?" version and try to sound all edgy and witty; and use big words, so you can believe I'm a super pro writer. I'm not going to point out the obvious; you already know that the Switch is portable. I got this game, because it's completely new to me, and I wanted to use the excuse of "oh I got it for my kid", when in reality, I got it for myself; thinking that my kid will like it. Since my kid is at the cousin's residence, I took the initiative and responsibility as a parent to play the game and give my thoughts about the game in general. As you boot the game, you straight out start the game; there's no title screen, and you're introduced with an isometric-like small little world, with Toadette signalling at you to begin your journey. As you follow her, directions are given to you on screen, showing you how to play the game. The first thing that you'll do is follow Toadette. As you do this, the game will tell you to use the right analog stick, to navigate the camera. Naturally, you'd use the left analog stick to walk. To my discovery, you can also rotate the camera using the L and R shoulder buttons, but this will not give you the total navigation experience, as the analog stick. Once you acquire the item that's in this level, you will eventually be introduced with a cut scene, and the title screen, which you might have been expecting. It will then officially allow you to begin the game. Toad does move slow enough for no "oopsies", and of course you can make him run by holding the B button we all are familiar with. The first course is rather simple and for good reason; it's still very much of an introductory course. The goal of each course is to find the traditional Star that's found in Mario games. You will encounter several obstacles, to which you'll have to solve, in order to retrieve the treasures. Each of them do become more complicated and challenging, but they're all fun. You'll get a chance to revisit these stages, so you can find all the necessary items, to "100%" the course; so far each course has one star and 3 diamonds that you can find, and certain challenges, like "find the golden mushroom", in course 1. Once you finish the level, you'll be introduced with your best coin run, and the date, when you cleared the stage; this is all presented to you in a nice book-like menu. As a father, I say this is good clean fun and humor; (Toad will fall asleep, if you stay idle for a while). It's a game for all ages; it's beautifully made with rich, bright colors and cute NPC (none playable characters) and enemies. If you like puzzle, and Mario themed games, then this game is right for you. Overall, I consider the game a stress free and cute game for people of all ages. I'll be continuing my analysis of the game, and see how far I can go, with all the great challenges that a player will have a chance to face. The great thing about this game is that you're not completely required to finish all the challenges, or acquire all the gems. You can simply casually play through the game, and collect the main star items in each course. As of right now, it doesn't seem mandatory to collect everything but the star. Thank you for your time, and hope you enjoy the game yourself; I mean, hope you purchase the game for your child. (Shhh, your secret is safe with me.)
2023/ No booklet & postcard 😢😢
The story was simply emotional. It kept my interest throughout the entire game from start to finish. Did it in one shot... took around 7 hours only because I explore alot. It's not a visually stunning game but worth every penny in story. I was so confused on what was happening but as soon as I saw one particular statue and... all I can say is it I will play it again and again. The only problem was a bit of video lag that was a little annoying, but don't affect the over all game. This would have made a good book and maybe a good movie as well. Loved this game!
