I'm absolutely obsessed with the final product and ultimately have no regrets about doing this but here's some advice before you buy if you're looking for it: -Be mentally and financially prepared to replace your screen if necessary. The hardest part of this was not damaging the screen, and even after reading a lot of advice and watching vids I was extremely close to damaging mine multiple times while I was trying to remove it. On top of almost cracking it, I also almost separated the screen from its component because it's seriously the tiniest space you need to pry the glue away from, if you go too far in you're going to damage it. I took a picture of the back of my screen to try to help. DO NOT SHOVE TOOLS IN FARTHER THAN THE OUTER BLACK LINE. -If you don't think you damaged your screen but it won't turn on once you plug it in and turn the console on, go back in and shove the screen to mother board ribbon cable in a little harder than you think you should. -I wasn't able to swap my track pads. Even with a heat gun I couldn't separate the chips from my old track pads. I'm just using a skin on mine which I think looks just fine, but heads up it's not easy to make the swap. -The tools sent with this are a little sub par. Like many other reviews I also recommend getting the ifixit iopener kit. -There is no thermal paste included with either of the kits (this one or the iopener). In the extremerate video they tell you to take your heatsink/fan off of your motherboard during teardown. I strongly recommend either leaving it all stuck together or purchasing thermal paste to reseal your heatsink during reassembly. The MB and cooling system really don't have to be disconnected to remove or replace them safely. -The finish on my case is similar to a soft touch joycon. I love it and find it comfortable, but I know that's not for everyone! -I have medium-low tech experience and this took me about 7 hours all said and done. Ultimately if you have the time and you're willing to pay for your mistakes I really do recommend performing the reshelling with this brand :)
It's arguably not a traditional point in click. The presentation actually reminded me a lot of the south-park games if you took out the combat and RPG elements. There is story quests and side quests which this game calls chores and there is different costumes that can be found and worn similar to the amour sets in the south-park games although in this game the costumes are purely for aesthetics. The game does have inventory based puzzles like you would expect from a point and click although perhaps the game does feel a bit light in this area compared with other more traditional point and clicks. The game has 100's of lines of professionally voiced dialog. There are tons of intractable hot-spots in every scene and for each interaction (look, touch, speak) there is a unique and usually humorous bit of dialog recorded. It should be noted as well that the game is only episode 1 in a planned trilogy
I ordered this from akiya-switch.com new instead of used because the price difference wasn't that great. It arrived with the box in terrible condition. There are several spots where the plastic is peeling up and feels terrible to touch. Normally I wouldn't care much since the game works fine but this is a present and I wanted it to be new. I will not be sending it back since the game works but I feel ripped off. Think twice before ordering new games from akiya-switch.com! Even if the game hasn't been played the box has been opened, and I do not count it as new in that condition.
First time I saw this on akiya-switch.com I immediately wanted it but thought it would be a nightmare. Then I watched their installation video on YouTube and figured I could do it even though I’m just a chill girl 💅. I’m so happy I had an open mind and tried it! It is very straightforward and you literally cannot mess it up if you follow along with the video and be patient. If you’re debating between these and the non-LED buttons, it’s almost exactly the same process; you just have a couple extra steps. I was afraid that there wouldn’t be a way to turn off the lights but they thought of everything and made it a painless experience. The lights are SO BRIGHT. My husband thinks they are too bright, but I also bought clear so I’m sure they are brighter than if you got a different color. I also purchased their white shell and replaced it while working on the buttons since you have to take everything apart anyway. I’m a happy customer. Thank you!!!
The steelbook came undamaged. Looks amazing. Just started playing the game too, I hope to like it just as much as I liked smtv
My daughter jammed a game into her brother's switch and broke the compartment so that it no longer reads any of the games. We could have tried to repair it but it happened to be his 13th birthday. This option of buying just the console part was perfect! It was an upgrade from what he had and works perfectly so far. I was impressed with the information that came with it saying they stood by their products and they provided several ways to contact the seller about any issues. So far so good!
I haven't had a chance to play the game yet, I plan to finish age of calamity first. This special edition though is amazing! While I've never cared for the CDs included, I love art books! This art is full of beautiful and cute illustrations and really shows the love and care that went into everything. The charm is pretty nice as well, it feels like high quality fabric so if you choose to place the charm on a bag or something then it seems like it would last a long time. Will update my review after playing the game.
I love that it's wireless, but when I'm really into a long play game session, I still have the wired option. It's ready to plug & play with presets but the joy that it's programmable is something to talk about. It stores multiple combos, macro. I like this controller's classic feel, nice & steady. It's really good with my PC. Its working great with my Switch too as an extra full-sized controller.
I absolutely love this grip and the battery is great too! its very versatile, has a great weight. its kinda on the heavy side but I prefer it that way. the little stand at the bottom is good as well. the magnets on this thing are very strong and do there job well. Also the plastic doesn't feel cheap at all and is nice and hard, love the different grip styles it comes with as well. highly recommend this if you are looking for something that allows you to use your joycons and has these extra features.
Great ergonomics I liked it over the original ones from Nintendo makes the device a bit bigger but a lot more comfortable for long gaming sessions.
One of the screws came broken
I am in love with the color options and it is fantastic to hold in the hands. It doesn't drain battery like you may think and it feels very sturdy. The joysticks feel nice even though the right joystick is in a awkward spot. It does however take away from that sleek look the switch has. It also has no way to output video to a TV so you have to remove your switch from the unit just to play on the TV. This can be a deal breaker for some, but I mostly play hand held so it's not too bad. The buttons are very springy and kinda loud. Not in a mechanical switch way, but more of a plastic slamming on plastic way. The triggers have a very short travel but not instant which is strage. The bumpers or shoulder buttons feel massive. They are wide and take up a ton of realistic on top of the nitro deck. The stand is OK. It has a ton of range to hold up the system while in the grip, but due to the sheer bulk of the grip on the bottom, it is a little limited. Also getting the switch out of the grip can be a bit of a pain since there is no eject assist. (THE NEW CRKD NITRO DECK+ FIXES THIS) A huge complaint I've seen besides the right joystick placement, is that it might scratch the back of your switch. I haven't had that yet, but only time will tell. A personal gripe is that with the next switch on the way, this grip won't be so useful. However not everyone will be jumping to get the next system so probably not worth worrying about too much. Next system isn't due to be announced until March 2025. And, we have heard nothing on an official release of the next system so who knows. Either way, this is a great grip if you don't want to spend a ton of money on joycons. It's not perfect but it is great for us with bigger hands.
It’s been working really good since first day, wired with cable or wireless to the dongle or Bluetooth even connected to the iPad Pro, little thing has done really well, honestly the quality of the buttons as the description say, it’s all klicky but it feels nice ! all of the buttons feel the same not quality issues there no connection issues yet too, maybe it may feel a little bit lighter than official Xbox controllers but if you don’t mind it’s no issue. The only thing is that when playing apex and assigning buttons to the back buttons for some reason they where inverted, I had to play a little to make them work right but it was no issue maybe a software updated needed ? Other than that it’s a really good controller, for the price it performs like the pros! It may be smaller and littler but it really delivers. ( another thing that they need to fix…on the manual specially on how charging works , I didn’t now that slow blinking of the green light meant battery going low until I found out because of some Reddit users) it’s got to many options that are not really well explained on the manual
This is my first gaming steering wheel and I am very satisfied with its performance. I played MudRunner with it on my PC and the wheel worked great. The instruction manual does have a lot of words and is a bit unclear, but the seller also provides youtube video which makes the setup much easier. Totally recommend.
Best in the series. Great tennis game. Loads of fun with online Tournaments and offline matches.
