Personally I am not a big fan of Sriracha because I can't handle spice too well. However, I really liked the overall vibe of this controller design and I had picked up a Switch case from Hyperkin recently that was very nice quality, so I thought I would give this a chance. I was looking for a controller I could use for online games. This worked for me with Roblox. I played through an obby. My only complaint was that it was a little more sensitive with the factory settings, and sometimes the movement would be too fast, so it took a little getting used to. The controller feels pretty sturdy. I like the way the buttons feel while I am playing games. I like the size and the style of the controller also. I mean, what else is there to say? This works and it looks cool too. Hyperkin makes quality products with cool brands advertised on them.
This is technically my first collector's edition of a game, so I was excited to open it all up. Starting off I bought it used off of akiya-switch.com Renewed for around 60 bucks. The description said there was a little damage but it’s barely noticeable and it was only on the outside box on the corners. I didn’t mind it all but if you do, you might want to read the descriptions if you’re buying used. Another thing for this review is that I won’t be talking about the game itself because I haven’t played it yet. (I’m still playing the first one, I’m almost finished. It’s really good) I heard from a review that this is a standalone game but if you want to play the first one after there is a selection that blocks all the previous games “spoilers.” Now for the actual contents inside the box. The first thing I opened up was the art book, soundtrack cd, and of course the physical game. The art book is really good quality with a lot of cool info inside. All the designs are beautiful too. The art book itself is also made extremely well. It feels nice to hold and flip through. I lucked up and got two cds, so I’m really happy about that! (I bought this on akiya-switch.com Renewed or maybe it was something in manufacturing but to be honest I don’t really care. It’s nice having a back up just incase :D) Lastly the game itself, they physical case doesn’t have anything inside it’s just plain white with warranty stuff .I wasn’t expecting anything but just incase you were wondering. I saw another review about the stand for the figure wasn’t all that sturdy. It feels pretty sturdy to me and it looks awesome. I’m not that knowledgeable on figures but since this is my first figure (besides funko pops) It’s really nice. You can even see Aiba’s hamster form too, it’s so cute. That’s all for now. If the game is just as good as the first one I’m going to love it! I don’t regret spending a dime on the collectors edition. If you’re thinking about I would say just buy it!
I usually don’t like turn based combat but Nintendo makes it more fun because precise timing can allow you to block or execute more powerful attacks by pressing the A button just as your attack lands (or just as the enemy hits you in regards to blocking). It makes it feel more action oriented and keeps the battles from feeling boring or repetitive. The art style is beautiful, it looks amazing on the OLED switch screen. If you never played this on the GameCube like me, I suggest picking it up. The only downside is that it runs at 30FPS compared to 60FPS of the original version. It is what it is, this is just a consequence of the Nintendo Switch being so underpowered compared to virtually any other console/PC handheld. It’s not that bad though, I was able to get used to it, even though I play games on PS5 and PC where frame rates can be 120FPS and higher. Here’s hoping the next switch has backwards compatibility and this game will then run at a glorious locked 60FPS.
The art is so pretty, it came in a day early, music is great and I’m in LOVE with everything already. Because of the lack of western releases for this franchise it’s only in Japanese, but I promise it’s still worth it if you enjoy “Diabolik Lovers”
After 3 days analog stick rubber fell off Joy con does not click into place and slides off the switch without pressing a button and the analog stick is heavily worn out and r button doesn't work half the time also the x button sticks
For the cost of the controller, with as many benefits and features that you get out of it, its a great deal. There are a few smaller negatives, however most do not stop me from loving this controller. In the package, you get thumb grips, various paddles, two different ABXY buttons, travel case, tools, USB-C cable, the controller dongle, cleaning cloth, a sticker and instructions. Programming buttons and recording actions can all be done with the controller itself, thus you do not have to use a computer and software to configure it - which is great as you can easily modify it on the fly. The weight is a little on the heavier side, however the construction feels very solid without any odd noises or creaks while using. Plastic feels great in the hand and the texturing gives a good grip. From a full charge (using USB-C), the controller lasts over 24 hours with the lights off playing casual games (with minimal rumble/motor features). With the LEDs on, it still lasted over 12 hours with heavy use. There is no headphone jack, however this is not a deal-breaker for me since the switch and PC gaming I have other setups. The ABYX buttons feel great. And depending on how you want to use the controller, it includes a 2nd set of buttons so you can re-arrange the button lettering. There is a tool for the button removal which I had thought may scratch the buttons, however swapping was easier than I had thought and they never came loose. Other face buttons feel just fine to use. Thumbsticks feel amazing, and had no drift at all. They are sensitive, however depending on your settings (and game) you can modify the deadzone if needed. The thumbsticks can pick up very light movements. Back bumpers and triggers feel great, however when using the trigger stops, there is a bit of travel in them and thus do not feel very tight. Was not an issue at all while playing games, and worked just fine. The rear paddles have three types included, and can be configured for what works best for your playing style (can mix and match). Thumbstick button presses can be remapped to those back triggers. The paddles were VERY tight to get in the first time, and to have them snap in properly (I thought I would break them how hard I had to wiggle and press them in), but they did hold up, and worked properly. While paddles are installed, it would not fit the included hard travel case. The D-pad is, mid but functional. It worked for simpler left/right/up/down directions, however it was difficult for fighting games to hit corners and to be consistent. If you use thumbsticks for fighting games, it won't be an issue. The rumble motors feel good overall. No odd sounds during use, and feels fairly good. LED lighting is basic, being around the thumbsticks, and looks good with the gray controller body. The controller has bluetooth, and a dongle, however the dongle is a much better way for connecting this controller as it had a much stronger signal, and minimal input lag. Overall this is a fantastic controller for what it offers, and for its price. It has many pro controller features and options that other controllers have that are 2-3 times the cost (and this one has hall effect thumbsticks, so should not drift). This is absolutely on my recommended to friends list, for those looking for a great controller with many 'pro' features, without the inflated pricetag. I would like to see additional paddles and buttons come out in the future with different colors and shapes, and a carry case with space for the back paddles and dongle.
nice game ~ Good as I expected ~ ! also it delivered pretty fast ~
I got this for my 16 yr old niece. She LOVES it! Good quality.
i have been out of the gaming scene for about 25 years.recently decided to give it another shot and boy have times changed.i purchased a nintendo switch oled (which is awesome) and with lots of research and lots of youtube video reviews i decided to go with this controller.im happy with my choice.well made doesnt feel cheap its nice to have a stand alone charging dock for it too.makes it look nice to display. its easy to connect but i admit i had to go back to youtube for help on doing that (still learning all this new stuff lol) i would recommend this to anyone looking for a switch or other platforms that its compatable with.
There’s a lot I like about this game pad: - It comes with a nice, hard plastic case - It feels solid in your hands - The back of the controller has a dimpled texture so it’s comfortable to hold - Many of the features (lights, reassignment of the rear buttons, turbo, macros) are programmable right from the controller without any extra software - Although one of the sticks had a slight deadzone issue, this was quickly & easily remedied and it’s been great ever since (just google “gulikit deadzone adjustment”) - The paddles used for the rear assignable buttons feel like solid metal & are secured once installed - Hall effect sensors! However, it’s not all perfect. Collectively, I’m subtracting a star for the following reasons: - The A & L button (L1 for you PS users) tend to stick in the “pressed” position. I found that by just using the controller, they’ll get to the point when they retract as they should…. But it never quite feels like the other buttons. It’s tricky to install those paddles. It felt like I was going to break either the paddle or the controller itself. - The controller cannot be kept inside the case if the paddles are installed. Overall, I’m pretty happy with this controller. Aside from the sticky buttons, it’s a mostly perfect replacement for the switch pro controller. ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
This game was amazing, beautiful graphics and wonderful artstyle. Also, as of 07/14/2020 all of the nicalis store goodies came with the akiya-switch.com version of the game, which is only 30 bucks. This game is a steal and the physical version is a must have for any nintendo switch owner, especially with the extra goodies to sweeten the deal. Incredible quality keychain, full color instruction booklet, and the entire games soundtrack. Definitely would buy again as a gift or just to have in the collection. Absolutely love nicalis physical releases and enjoy their inclusions of extra goodies.
I recommend this game to Everyone it is a very entertaining game. It is very addictive and the graphics are amazing. It’s an easy game to play as much better than the regular need for speed.
So, got this for my 10 year old because he is constantly on his switch and it has really positive reviews. Why though? What's the big deal? Simple cardboard packaging. Unboxing was a breeze as it just has this one piece in the box. Slide Switch into it and it is supposed to be "game changing." Not so much. My son has since forgotten about it and would rather just play the switch without it. For the price point, I do not see the value. Maybe for the more "serious" gamers out there, this is for you. For a 10-year old smashing out Mario Maker courses, it was not a big deal at all.
The controller worked fantastically until last night. Lasted about 2 months. I was only ever as rough on the triggers as I have been with every other controller I have ever used. The mounting arm for the trigger is made with a thin plastic, and if it breaks the whole controller is basically unusable. It worked great but I will not be buying another one. $60 is far too much to buy a controller every 2 months.
