   I absolutely love this game, from the gorgeous hand-drawn art style to the retro gameplay, there is nothing not to enjoy about Wonder Boy: The Dragon’s Trap. Also, the first-run extras ARE still available (make sure you don’t buy it from a 3rd party though) as of June 2019. Get it before it’s gone, you won’t be sorry!

   This game was amazing, beautiful graphics and wonderful artstyle. Also, as of 07/14/2020 all of the nicalis store goodies came with the akiya-switch.com version of the game, which is only 30 bucks. This game is a steal and the physical version is a must have for any nintendo switch owner, especially with the extra goodies to sweeten the deal. Incredible quality keychain, full color instruction booklet, and the entire games soundtrack. Definitely would buy again as a gift or just to have in the collection. Absolutely love nicalis physical releases and enjoy their inclusions of extra goodies.

   A lot of time and care obviously went into this “remaster”. From the hand-drawn art style to the beautiful music, and the ability to turn it all off on the fly to go back to the original 8-bit presentation. Most importantly, where some remastered games are just a fresh coat of paint on an uninteresting game, The Dragon’s Trap is actually a fun action/RPG/platformer regardless of whether you play it in modern or classic mode.

   Great game with care put into it’s packaging. Comes with Dragon Keychain, colored info pamphlet, soundtrack and the cover is reversible with new and old artwork. There are alot of little touches that were done for this to call back to it’s original days. The game caseand all the goodies that come in the game makes the experience all the more enjoyable. The game is quite fun as well, perfect for portblable nature of the switch. Easy to get into then pause and take somewhere else.

   This is a great remake with excellent animation and art. I dig being able to toggle between the remake and the original.
   My only caveat is that the physical version I ordered did not come with the bonus items (manual, mini cd, etc.) as other Nicalis-published games have. I bought digital early and waited to long to buy physical. Ah well.

   This game is great, it’s a fantastic remake but what really surprised me was it actually came with a manual… and not just a manual… it came with a bunch of goodies. Which made me really happy and then immediately sad, because the realization that nobody does this sort of thing anymore is a somber one. Packaging was perfect, i would go a step above and call this a collectible, not just a game. VERY satisfied and i don’t expect these to remain widely available for much longer. In fast i was surprised by the price.

   Great game. If you’re any good at video games in general, I recommend hard mode. The only complaint I have is the price for the physical release. For the length of game, I think $30 would have been worth it more. Having said that, the game is a blast, the music and graphics are superb. The initial physical release came with a mini-cd sampler, a full-color manual, and another cool goodie, but I think the later release doesn’t have any of that, which is a shame.

   Item arrived in 2 days. The case was broken and the paper insert was slightly torn. I ordered a replacement case from Nintendo for something like $2.50. All the extras are mint, and the tear on the insert is minor. Not going to return it, but it is still a bit annoying.

    es un buen juego de plataforma, me encanta las mecánicas retro de este juego, hay muchos secretos, la música es muy hermosa y el arte es de lo mejor de wonder boy.
    no esperes un juego largo pero si tiene buen nivel de dificultad, tal vez para algunos que no están acostumbrados a este tipo de juegos
    lo sientan algo frustrante, pero vale la pena con el tiempo lo dominas

    Casi 30 años atras que salio a la venta el juego original y la gente de Nicalis y Lizardcube nos traen de vuelta este pedazo de historia.
    En su epoca, este juego era un portento tecnico y de diseño, que cualquier jugador de la Master System recordaria sin ninguna duda.
    Ahora, Lizardcube lo relanza con ilustraciones que son reminiscentes al estilo de caricatura de Bill Watterson y una preciosa musica instrumental.
    Con un boton puedes cambiar entre la version original de la Master System y la version moderna, lo cual es fenomenal.
