   I had bought the astro a40 set with the mix amp pro to actualy replace a set of these that had finally broken after 3 years of rough use and stretching aver vr headsets and was actually pleased at first with the a40 set but it was always lacking the paint was coming off in under 3 months and it felt just so flimsy which it is it fell off my desk and broke off the left ear completely. I went back and thought I’d give these ago with the mix amp astro provided activated Dolby atmos and I was wrong. These turtle beaches slap for gaming headphones astro doesn’t even compete in my books. All round awesome headset, sturdy, sounds incredible, isn’t a loose mess on your head and will handle a drop. Buy these.

   Mic works, head phone works no broken parts. Had to make sure a double snap into the headphones happen, it’s like 1 snap secures it in and a second one will be completely jacked in. At first I didn’t jack in all the way so at the main title screen it was loud but in game after the reset of the sound system into window sonic or something, I hear everything. Interesting pan system the new style stereo sound does in audio, makes me feel like a weak sound engineer. Great sound and mic worked.

   1. Mic picks up your breathing and monitor does not reflect this. 2. The $&@@@@@ ear foams fall off constantly!!!!! 3. The ear foam COVERS also fall off constantly! In summary I rarely EVER leave reviews, but these are remarkably terrible headphones!

   Just got it today, sound quality is good and there is sound cancellation, haven’t had a chance to test the mic yet, but no complaints in a Xbox lobby. I got it for my son, who needed an upgrade. When we bought it, the black was sold out so I bought the white one, but due to a glorious mix up, upon arrival it was a black one lol to whoever made the mistake at the warehouse, THANK YOU! Update: Well, we didn’t even have it for a week before it started coming apart. The ear muffs became loose as if they were never even glued in, for something that is priced as high as they are im really disappointed in the lack of quality control, but I am thankful for akiya-switch.com at least helping us out. But I can’t recommend these anymore, look else where.

   I purchased 2 of these for my boys at Christmas, one white and one black. They worked great, have good quality audio and the breakaway connection is nice to have. Recently the right speaker on the white pair quit working. Tested it with the other pair’s cabling to rule that out. After contacting Turtle Beach support and providing all the testing material, support engineer asked if he could send me a new cable since the other one might be broke. I responded back with all the testing info again and said the black pair works just fine on the cable. Haven’t heard back from them for weeks now even after sending follow-up e-mail requests. Product is nice until you need the support for when something breaks under warranty.
