   Don’t support censorship with your money, this game had a lot removed or altered from the original WiiU Japanese version, here are some examples: -Changed Tsubasa’s Wedding costume by painting her whole body white except the face, so now she looks like she is wearing a white bodysuit under the wedding costume. -Changed Gravure Dungeon theme into general photography theme, which ruins the entire plot of this dungeon. -Changed Tsubasa’s Feel costume . -Removed Tsubasa’s hip Bones. -Changed Ellie’s swimsuit costume. -Change Maiko’s swimsuit costume. -Covered a boss’s cleavage with black smoke. -Changed ages to Tsubasa, Itsuki, Yashiro, Touma, and Ellie. -Removed all gravure photos from Gravure dungeon. -Changed Ellie, Tsubasa, and Maiko’s group poses in Gravure dungeon. -Removed the Hot Springs DLC and side story completely. -Hot Springs DLC included new costumes which we never got as a result of its removal. -Removed panties and replaced with black void. -Dialogue changes to gravure modeling and age changes led to over 340 lines of dialogue being changed. -Magazine ad textures around town changed from swimsuit outfits into street-wear and the wedding costume being covered up in an ad as well. What makes matters worse is that this time even the remastered Japanese version of the game is based on the Censored Western version, that means Japanese gamers will play a Japanese game sold in Japan that is heavily censored by Western localizers.

   This is basically a combination of Persona style battle system with FE weapons and class changes.
   Story is surprisingly fun and quirky, and famous locations like Shinjuku and Harajuku are featured,
   and a ton of side quests are available which unlock new abilities for the characters.
   Wasn’t expecting to have this much fun but its a much more light hearted Persona and the animation and songs are great and keep up the fun vibe.

   Tokyo Mirage Session #FE Encore is a great RPG. It looks gorgeous, sounds amazing, has tons of content and interesting mechanics you haven’t seen in an RPG before.

   But the game is basically “Japan Pop Star Power Rangers Fueled By Song Magic” which can be a bit of a hurdle to get over for some I imagine. Take it for what it is and it is a fun, breezy story around a punishing turn based RPG that will always offer something new. Highly recommended if you like turn based RPGs, give the setting a chance it actually is a lot of fun.

   This game is an outstanding turn-based JRPG. Like Japanese pop and culture? Like amazing gameplay? Look no further. The game is a baby between Fire Emblem and Shin Megami Tensei, and it shows in all of the best ways. You can see Fire Emblem in the Mirages you acquire and the enemies you conquer (and a few key series sound effects sprinkled in for that AHA! moment). Shin Megami is present in the magic spells and art style.
   It is a beautiful game that can sometimes be too basic on the plot but is nevertheless a grand adventure. You will see people complain about censorship and how ‘heavy’ it is, but it doesn’t affect the gameplay or enjoyment at all. If you are that bothered by the creator’s decision, you can go play Dead or Alive.

   Basically a Wii U port with added levels (to obtain new/DLC costumes from Wii U version excluding the swimsuit costomes), tsubasa can now wear glasses, new songs able to skip battle animations, and significantly faster load times. You do get US censorship like the Wii U version Graphics are similar. Best on portable mode. In TV docked everything is expanded and textures looks blurry. Art design is okay, but graphics in general feels very dated. Anime cutscenese are good though Text messages on Gamepad for Wii U is now on a menu screen. More buttons to press seeing Switch doesn’t have a second screen There is still no dub (only sub). They didn’t add sub in combat battlecrys for some reason For those who haven’t played the original; it’s a simplified Persona (game series) type game with Fire Emblem characters as Personas/Tiki as Egor, and has a lighter tone (less mature themes) –Story/Plot: Takes place in real world Tokyo where everything is fine until one day they are hit with a “mirage attack”. You enter worlds and free Fire Emblem characters who help you defeat evil and save Tokyo There are 6 chapters each focusing on part of the entertainment industry like modeling or tv. –Gameplay: Tradition turned based RPG. Enemies appear on screen and you attack them for advantage in battle turned based battle sequence You can have up to 18 skills equipped to a character at a given time. Skill uses EP (mana) Battle sequence: If you do a super effective attack, you get to chain attacks with your party member Dungeon exploration is very boring. Bad, bland and un-inventive level design. Simple puzzles and a lot of unnecessary backtracking to pad out the game Outside of dungeons you interact with people in the real world. In the real world everyone is fixated on Idol culture. Fun to see how characters with different personality and backgrounds express themselves to different forms of media (Japanese pop culture, modeling, anime, and singing) There are side stories where you can get new abilities. It’s not like the Persona games with social links, rather they give you fetch quests for additional backstory on characters UI menus are not that good. Takes a long while to get used to. Main objective is not marked on the map, so at times you may be wandering around a bit –Conclusion Not a lot of additions. If you own the Wii U version doesn’t feel worth it to double dip. If you own a Wii U and not have the game, you can get it for $20+ less (as of this review), but you have to deal with the load times and no DLC costumes

   The game came in good condition, but it was the eu edition instead of the us edition. Luckily the switch is region-free, but it’s annoying to not exactly get what you paid for.
