Great game from the 360 era brought back to PS4 and the switch however same issue from back then also present here. The online scene is non existent.
Unsure if these copies are just released early or if the majority are the limited run speculators that keep games sealed, but the online match finding is void of activity. I have not been able to find a ranked or player match game at all.
Hopefully this changes. What’s the point of rollback online if no one is even playing? Great game but the online at the time of this review is a ghost town.

The only downside to this is that limited run released it physically. Other than that, this game is a wonderful swan song to KOF’s 2D animation. Definitely worth a purchase if you crave it physically.

I’ve been a fan of the KOF series since 94. Wish they just stayed with the pixel art style or at least a form of 2d. One things for sure, KOF XIII is peak fighting game pixel art goodness. When they switched to 3d style, it just looked and felt generic. Hope they go back to 2d again in the future!
