The game is absolutely beautiful, with lush hand drawn story graphics and an adorable story. I can’t state enough that the game is a delightful visual experience with wonderful character designs and settings and an okay soundtrack. The battle system is fairly simple, but it is effective enough at what it sets out to do.
However, unfortunately, the game is an awful slog to play due to how slow navigation is. What little exploration there is in dungeons is massively hampered by the slow walk speed. It genuinely ruins the experience of the entire game, though I did manage to finish it. I’ll never understand how someone can develop an entire game with such a sluggish walk speed and not realize it’s a problem. And they did, because you can run through completed areas, it almost feels like they padded the game’s run time.
I actually love this game, but I cannot recommend it without mentioning that the walk speed is genuinely atrocious and pulls down the entire game.

Beautiful game, impressive hardcover art/ mini story book that looks like treebark on the cover with gold foil embossed detail, adorable little plushie, and the soundtrack is excellent and fitting.
I’ve completed the story and it took about 30 hours total with some side quests left over. When you beat the game it doesn’t let you continue afterwards, only to your last auto save right before the final boss. So there is no post game besides finishing up some side things you may have missed before the boss. There are side quests, equipment, and something like a monsterpedia to fill out for completionists. I’d estimate at a leisurely pace you’d get about 40 hours total out of the game doing absolutely everything. There are many things that you need a specific party member to access so a lot of backtracking since you can only have one party member at a time.
There were a few freezes and one crash, luckily there are frequent autosaves and you can manually save whenever you want. I had a good time with this game and my 4 year old enjoyed watching parts and told me to read it to her.

This is a nice, short game (15ish hours to complete) that draws upon the same art style as Blind Prince and Liar Princess. Gameplay is similar if you have played that game. Story is easy to follow along with, art style is really cute. A nice cozy game if you’re looking for something that you can easily progress through with minimal challenge and just enjoy the story progression
