This series is from the Persona series creator. Caligula has not quite captured the magic of Persona but the series is finding its footing with Caligula Effect 2. The first game had some fun ideas but was brought down by a product that felt very rushed and unfinished. Caligula Effect 2 feels like it improved on almost every issue from Overdose. It is still a small budget game so keep that in mind. The OST is really nice. Interesting cast. The combat system is fun. Dungeons feel varied. The switch may not have Persona 5 itself but Caligula Effect is among a few games to help fill that void. Tokyo Mirage Sessions. Persona 5 Strikers. Digimon Cybersleuth and now Caligula Effect 2. You do not need to play the first game, while it is referenced, it’s not required to enjoy the story.

Now I have dents and adhesive all over the case on what’s going to be a very rare and expensive game! PATHETIC!
