When I got the white cardstock envelope I was kind of afraid that the game might have been damaged. Turns out it nicely wrapped in layers of bubble wrap and with it’s shrink wrap intact. Haven’t opened up the game yet since I’m still backed up in my switch game catalogue.

Death mark is a very atmospheric experience, it has excellent writing along with a great sound design (heavily recommend headphones) and a very compelling story. If you enjoy horror, this game has it.
If you decide to purchase the collector’s edition of the game DO NOT open the art book until you have beaten the game, as the very first page has spoilers.
The music is good, and you get little death marks in the box. 🙂

So I bought this largely based on appearance, meaning it looks like Fatal Frame, my favorite game series ever, and knew what I was getting into because I do love visual novels. The art book it comes with does include some spoilers so you might want to save it for after finishing the game, but without context it’s nothing that would ruin your game play. The slip box is beautiful, and the temporary tattoos are an amusing touch. But the other reviewer is pretty accurate, it’s choose your own adventure style with a bit of point and click. I have no regrets about this game and would definitely recommend it to anyone who loves horror and doesn’t mind reading.

Bought the limited edition and the box was damaged. I mean its a collector’s edition, you need to be sure its safe in the mail! Not putting it in a bag, a box with bubble will be much better.
