Controlling Skully in his original form can be quite challenging at times. There were parts where I spent well over an hour trying to get from one checkpoint to the next. It was rewarding when I succeeded tho. The game’s physics felt real and what you’d expect rolling a marble around a 3D environment to be like. Momentum, picking up speed, gravity, adjusting the camera angle as needed, these are the kinda things that will challenge you, way more so than any enemies or boss fights. Plus there’s the optional challenge of trying to collect all the little glowing orb thingies along the way, which I eventually gave up on. The storyline, to me, was a little cheesy but the gameplay was impossible to simply breeze thru, and that makes it a good game for the price.

So far I love it. Cool new game mechanics (to me anyway), with the mud pools transforming you and saving. Little details like the mud golem swallowing Skully to start playing as him.
I didn’t play much marble madness, but it reminds me of that, like a modern, good one. A little super monkey ball too. It’s fun to explore by hopping on the crystalized rock columns to get higher. Good game so far!
