I had this for PC when it originally came out, and remember liking it. However, I had a hard time enjoying it on the Switch. The controls don’t really seem optimized for a controller, the aim assist doesn’t seem to work at all, and I ran into a recurring glitch that would cause missions to start incorrectly.

So I got this game today, and I’m pretty sure I’ve already put in about 4 hours of gameplay on my Switch Lite. I never had played it before, when it was on the original consoles, but I’m very very glad I picked it up. It’s *very much* a hidden gem and if you’re reading this, just stop reading and go pick it up!

While this doesn’t run at a stable frame-rate, it rarely dips below 30. It doesn’t look as good but to be honest it looks exactly as I remember it and runs better than the 360 version. There’s not much else to say about Red Faction Guerilla on Switch that doesn’t apply to any other version; the game is otherwise intact with the same level of jaw-dropping destruction you can’t expect from any other game. Buy it and wreak havoc!

Pretty good game. The graphics could be better and the endless enemy spawning during your missions gets a bit old but I like the destruction to the buildings and vehicles which keeps you entertained atleast enough to want to finish.

For a game that was released for earlier game systems it still holds up well. Graphics not entirely great but still works in this fun and enjoyable video game.
