I’m not the biggest fan of the franchise but I still own the first one for gameboy,super r type for snes, delta for ps one and command on the psp(umd).The difficulty can be adjusted but is not that easy,in the other hand is not infuriating like delt.I’m glad us multiplat so many others can play it.
Graphics are good for the switch.

I want to preface this by saying that while I consider myself a fan of shmups, I’ve maybe only played half a dozen or so across my lifetime. That said, I’ve yet to play one I haven’t liked and R-Type Final 2 is no exception. There’s plenty to nitpick here, to be sure. The graphics look a bit crusty in places on Nintendo Switch (though I only noticed a single endgame level with any noticeable performance issues) and acquiring resources to unlock new ships can be a drag, but this game’s devious level design and gameplay have kept me coming back for more again and again.
A few things I would like to note: This game isn’t for everyone– it’s tough and demands focus and strategy more than it does quick reflexes. I’d also strongly encourage picking up the DLC stage pass as 3 out of the 4 stages currently released in it easily rank among my favorite in the entire game.

I like this game. Although I have not completed the game 100% yet I have finished the game in kids mode. The game is good and challenging. Has good music. It does have different level paths just not sure how that works yet. I have played 2 different level 6 so far which both are hard in there one ways but once you figure out the patterns you should have no issues finishing the game
