   Honestly think some people are being a tad overdramatic with their reviews of the game quality. To start, yes it does have some graphics issues during game play. It is most noticeable while the game is being displayed on the TV. While in cities, the people walking by are while you are in motion suffer the most visually. While in handheld mode, it’s barely there. I had the game crash 1x for me but I didn’t lose anything because of how often this game auto-saves for you. Some of the areas are direct layover maps from Sword/shield but I have no issues with it being like that. It was just more of a moment of that looks familiar. Game play is fun and different from some of the previous Pokémon games. I come from the OG Red/Blue days so this is overall light years better but do miss some of the more challenging stuff like not have such easy access to your Pokémon storage boxes and Pokémon centers. I do wish you could battle/capture Pokémon more with your friends online instead of just the Tera Raids. Overall I think the game is great and likely the bugs with the graphics will get sorted out with future updates.

   A little background: I have purchased every pokemon games since pokemon Sapphire. it is overall an ok pokemon game. It might not be in the category of best 2022 switch games or top one in pokemon game family but I can clearly see the positive progress Game Freak made in the pokemon open world. Personally I found this game the best of Pokemon game on switch platform. There are still a long way to go for the developer to advance their technologies but personally I have never experinced the game collapse or extremely unbearable bugs. 4 star rating for a 2022 game to look like one developed 10 years old. Hopefully graphics can be improved on better platform hardware.

   Everything about the product from the akiya-switch.com page implies getting the North American version of the game. Image of the cover art has the ESRB rating in the bottom left corner. The same is true of the game trailer video in the listing. The copy I received was the European version with Italian cover art. Thankfully, the Nintendo Switch is region free and this version has an English translation so the cartridge will work as fine as any other copy of Pokemon Scarlet.

   Great game! sometimes glitchy and seems unfinished but is pretty fun considering i picked it up to play with a friend. When I opened the package i was surprised to see it packaged in another language! I found it hilarious, as did my girlfriend. It gave us a great laugh. The game card was in english and choosing english as the primary language solved the issue. loading the game was fine and seemingly was not effected by that fact that it was from another region.

   I bought this game on the US page a few days ago but received the Italian version instead. I was upset at first but decided to test it out and it works just fine on my American switch. It even booted up my previous save I made from another copy, and played in English without me making any changes. I just have a funny looking game case and a European game cart now.

    The game cartridge features a new save system. Save games are kept separate by user profile. The save data is kept on the console or microSD card. Multiple people can play their own save game on the console without impacting the others. This is in contrast to the original Gameboy games, in which the save file is held on the cartridge and portable between systems. The Switch save file may only be transferred to another game system using the data transfer service. The game is beautifully made. The most photorealistic amongst the Pokémon video game series. Very immersive. The ability to play with other people (trading, battling, and exploring the world) has far surpassed the former limitations of link cable and infrared communication. I would say this is the game you’ve been waiting for.

    I knew this would not be the NA version of the game as it has a pegi rating in the images. I did not expect it to be the Spanish version. This is not really an issue as it still lets you select the language at the beginning and defaults to what your console is set to. The booklet inside advertising the flying Pikachu was in Spanish, German, and Italian. If you can’t read these languages, it just describes the process to receive the flying Pikachu my mystery gift before Feb 28th 2023.

    I’ve been playing Pokemon since Red/Blue/Yellow (or in other words, the beginning) and I haven’t had this much fun with a Pokemon game in a long time. Yes, it does have technical glitches. Yes, it could be more polished. But this is, hands down, the best story they have come up with yet for a main line game. I’ll spend 1 or 2 days just exploring the land between making any meaningful leaps into the story line and I’m having a blast! I’ve changed up my Pokemon roster more time in this game than any other game. Normally by the second or third gym I have my team and I’m sticking with it because the grind of leveling up new Pokemon to gym level isn’t my kind of fun. I’ve also never used so many boxes. So many Pokemon to catch, different tera forms, different levels. The character needs more clothing options. I’ve accumulated a lot of money in the game and have nothing to spend it on. Overall, very satisfied.
