   I’m a big fan of the XBOX controller, but it does take a little space in a bag. I travel for a living as Flight Crew and got this for my Steam Deck for its compactness (and seriously it’s so weird looking that I had to have it).

   As far as connecting goes, it’s seamless. Probably one of the easiest connections my Steam Deck does for any Bluetooth device in general. There’s a caveat though – it’s too good. You can turn on the controller turn by pressing nearly any button. This fits my JSAUX case nicely but because it’s easy for a button to click while it’s in my bag, it automatically connects to my Deck. Which also drains my controller power with the constant on/off. So I have no choice but to forget the device in my Bluetooth connection listing.

   I’ll still continue traveling with it but I’ll have to a different packing method for it to minimize it getting pressed on the go. So if you plan to buy this for travel, preferably pack it in a more open space so no accidental clicking occurs.

   Personally I have very large hands so that could be the reason for my issue with using the bumpers. I wanted to use this on Smash bros. but its kind of a struggle for rolls and grabs.

   Otherwise I love this controller. The sticks feel good and I haven’t experienced any drift. The D-pad is made up of 4 separate buttons instead of the normal + shape on other controllers. Personally I like it better this way the separation makes it easy not to fat finger a different direction than intended. I love the metal body. I also thought I would like the way the bumper buttons are but it’s been more of a problem for me than a cool new configuration. Anyway it’s great in basically everyway the bumpers might be better for smaller hands.

   It is comfortable in my hands, I have pretty long lanky fingers so I was kinda worried but the way it’s shaped helps keep my fingers out of the way. Plus it doesn’t give me really bad cramps. I wish it was a little bigger but otherwise it’s nice.

   I really love this controller and love the way it feels, but the (A) button is jammed after 2 months of usage. The (L) button is sometimes stuck too. I don’t even do any rough play. Literally was playing animal crossing. Kind of annoyed by it..

   I thought I’d give this a go and for most games I really love using this. I have gamed for hours using this. Charger is usb C
   The only thing I’d caution is if you play a lot of games with L2 and R2 are the tiny black buttons over the purple ones that are L1 and L2.
   The back geometry doesn’t bother my hands at all.
   Really enjoying it and may get another one.

   Surprisingly comfortable even though it looks quite rigid in its angular shape. Functionally it works perfectly. It appears to be using the exact buttons and sticks as the official joycons and the center buttons follow the same layout so no accidental presses in mixing up +/-/Home/capture like on other third party controllers. A dealbreaker for me is swapping the usual stacked shoulder button orientation in favor for having them side by side, that drops the value for me as far as usability. I don’t think I would bother using this unless it was a last choice resort or I’m strictly playing games that seldom use the shoulder buttons. Attached is a video of the vibration buzzing sounds and some random glue runoff on the L2/ZL It has 3 levels of vibration and all our buzzy. One could just turn off the vibration but its annoyingly buzzy and noticeable. Kind of the expected issue with all third party controllers, none of them support the nuances and quality of the Nintendo official HD rumble. All that being said, I still overall like it. It functions 100% as expected and feels decent but the shoulder button orientation makes this a last choice for me. I would rather just use the joycons since the appeal here should be thats its a small and extra portable controller. Another pair of joycons would take up pretty much the same space as this would in a bag/case so give it to your second player who doesn’t care about the shoulder button layout. 3 stars. Good but not great. Its looks are its best feature.

   For $60, you are so close to the real Switch Pro Controller at $69 – that you have to second guess yourself for buying this if you are buying it to replace or be that … but that is not why you are buying this controller OK, first impression of opening it up, it’s SO pink. I wish I had gotten the darker controller especially either the green or black or the multiple color darker one … but here I am, with the pink one, so that’s how my life works now … LOL. So looking at it, I want to hate this by appearance and I really do. How the hell can this thing possibly work?! It’s first so small and so oddly shaped it will never work … pull it out and wow it’s built solid but still I am going to hate it … boy was I wrong. This company gets the idea of lulling someone into thinking things will be bad and then SURPRISE! And oh boy oh boy was I surprised As usual, positives, neutrals, negatives – POSITIVES – the heft of this controller is impressive – I am pretty sure you could use this as a self-defense tool if all went badly for you, I’m going to say the pink and design is a negative but my wife is demanding I also put it as a positive and says the controller is very – Kawaii – now thanks to that I have that word in my vocabulary, the metal back is amazing, remember how I said I was going to hate on this shape? – until I picked it up and put it in my hands – and I don’t have small hands – I have more along the lines of something akin to bear paws – this fits perfectly to the contours and angles of your hands as you are holding it – it was so uncanny and weird – I was like there is no way and they were like yes way and I was like no way and they were like absolute way, the layout of the triggers and bumpers – again something I thought I was surely going to hate – I now love and it really makes using this thing a joy because my fingers just naturally lay over the buttons and get used appropriately – I only had a few miscues to start with – and I even took this pink monstrosity into COD NEUTRALS – analog sticks are your standard ALPS affair and are on par with the last generation XB1 controllers – come on give us HALL EFFECT sticks, the regular buttons (other than the face buttons) are ok and useable, the overall button feel is a mixed bag and probably would be better with mechanical/Hall effect switches but that would definitely drive the price up and probably the size up – but they probably could do a pro version like this and I would obviously buy it, the battery life is average but good for its size NEGATIVES – Sorry the pink color is not for me – that’s my major grips, the cable is garbage and I replaced it with a better higher quality one right off the bat – like the controller seems bullet proof and two bends of the cable and I split the outer cover, that’s it right now, no more cons So this is how I feel about this … I am definitely going to go in and post this review on ALL of their versions of this controller – I don’t want someone to overlook this controller if they are looking for a fun travel controller. Overall, it’s going to be a GREAT addition to my collection and if it had some RGB, it would be even better. This could be a very fun controller and I have HUNDREDS of controllers at this point.

   I tend to shy away from a small controller. I don’t have especially large hands but as I age I much prefer something with good ergonomics. Although this one is indeed very compact (see photo for comparison to others), it does work surprisingly well and without too much fatigue. Visual Style: I think the look is great. Honestly, that is the main reason I picked it up. Very cool aesthetic overall. Even the glowing status buttons below kind of look like they are part of the motif. Build Quality: Very good. The metal back is sturdy and feels nice to hold in the way that it is geometrically rounded outward. The buttons themselves have a good response not dissimilar to a switch joycon. The joysticks are reminiscent as well, with a good amount of travel without being too slim. The big variance is that both shoulder buttons are mounted inline. This might be a bit cumbersome depending on the game, but in my experience I was able to navigate this change in orientation without much issue. Rumble Grumble: I don’t care for tiny rumbles in controllers and this one isn’t much different. It works in that it makes a buzz when prompted but doesn’t communicate much nuance. I was not unable to get the settings to adjust according to the manual (should be 4 levels) so it felt pretty harsh. If I could tone it down (maybe a firmware issue?) that might solve the issue for me. Truth be told, on a controller like this, I would just as soon turn it off altogether. Connectivity: This works well across the board. I have used it with an iPhone, iPad, AppleTV, FireTV, PC, Switch, and a Steam Deck. Suffice to say, it works as intended on all devices with the exception of rumble not functioning on the IOS devices for some reason. The pairing process is easy enough just make sure to properly press the right combination of the pairing button, and the face button. The instructions do a good job of detailing how to appropriate pair depending on device type. Inputs: So far, I haven’t encountered any notable drift of phantom inputs. I would prefer a more traditional D-Pad but I also won’t penalize them for that choice. As a D-PAD for menus and basic navigation, this one works just fine. Firmware Updates: Haven’t had to do this yet but I did take a gander at the firmware update app on IOS. It very seamlessly detected my controller and checked for new firmware. Nice to know that if there are any issues, an update won’t be hard to come by. Turbo Function: I tested turning this on, and it works. Kind of cumbersome to deactivate (see the manual). Personally, I have no use for it but if you do, it’s there. Accessories: Comes with a nice little semi-hard shell carrying case, a USB-C cable for charging and connectivity, and a pretty good little manual. Long story slightly longer: This is actually a pretty decent little controller. Well build, portable, versatile, and stylish. If I ended up having to use it as a last resort for a round of mario kart, I wouldn’t be upset. And, for the level of build quality, I think the value isn’t too bad either (about $33 as of this review).

   This is my first wireless Bluetooth controller, keep that in mind while reading my review. I played with this for a few hours.. my other switch pro type controller is wired and I wanted a wireless one because winding up the cord every time i want to game, gets tedious. First thing I noticed other than the really cool design and art, is the light weight, like… it’s barely noticeable.. it was easy to pair up to my switch, and I played some yoshi’s crafted world. Super fun, very responsive it makes my old controller feel clunky and slow by comparison. No hand cramps or fatigue. I’m tempted to get a 2nd, either drunk rose or Sakura warrior… I haven’t made up my mind.

    I’m an adult woman with small hands. This controller is just right for me. It fits so comfortably in my hands. And the joysticks are exactly like the Nintendo brand ones. It holds a charge for hours also, pairs easily, very responsive, amd zero lag. Did I mention it looks amazing too? The weight of the metal back is *muah* perfection. It feels solid. I’m super impressed, ordering another controller today!

    I have one of the metal versions and I’ve only had it for 1 year exactly and now my battery can’t hold more than 5 minutes. I hate that I can’t see the battery level. I feel like you can possibly make it happen. More so, with the lights on the bottom can indicate where the battery life could be. I like it but I don’t know if I can use it anymore. Is this a charging issue? On another note, I wish the buttons were more customizable.
