I bought this with much excitement, but I’m not an online gamer, nor a person who likes to create online accounts. (More annoying emails than I need or care for.)
This game forces you to place an online Nintendo account and will not start up unless you have a Nintendo account. I do not have one, nor do I want to create one. So, it wont even open up to the menu screen of the game.
If you’re like me, dont waste your money. Every other game I’ve bought so far allows you to plug and play immediately after the game downloads.
Super disappointed cause the game looked like it might be fun.

Fun, entertaining, my girlfriend and I have played this childhood game for several hours on different occasions. My kids really enjoy it so far too. The game isn’t super complex or advanced either, glad they kept it that way. Hunting and fishing are fun options.

Played this game with my pre-teen son. It was a blast. Graphics were good and it kept well to the old game.

Upgraded and way better than the original, addicting and fun to play with mindless continuation and hours of playthrough.

Even though this is a 1 player game, when you change the character names to those in your family, everyone gathers around to play, making decisions together to see what happens next, laugh at the sibling with dysentry, or hopping around after a successful hunt.
As basic as the game is, it is rather addicting and great fun.

This game brings back great memories of playing as a kid but adds fun new features that make repeated play worth it. My kids LOVE the options for gravestones, hunting is still super fun (but why doesn’t a buffalo get you 200lbs of meat anymore???), and fishing is a cool new addition. There are also cool mini games to play that can unlock elements of the main gameplay. Very enjoyable

I played this game as a child in school and absolutely loved it so when I saw they made it for the switch I bought it. Is it the most exciting game I’ve ever played? No, but I enjoyed it part and partial because of nostalgia so if you liked the game as a child, you’ll like it as an adult. My 12 yo kid, however thought it was boring which I mean it kind of is but I still enjoyed it!!

This is the remix of the original computer game that came out in the 80’s. It is about surviving the hardships of traveling the Oregon Trail in the mid 1800’s. While it is enjoyable entertainment, it is based on real life situations so there will be real life – death, disease, accidents, etc. I use to skip class just to sneak into the computer lab and play The Oregon Trail on the The Apple IIe. I’ve played other reincarnations of the game, but this one gets it right. They include indigenous people’s stories and history that the first game did not, but should have. The music is neat and sets the mood. The graphics keep the style of the original game but updated and with feeling. I received the game last nite and I’m having a hard time putting it down. It’s a must have for any fan of OG Oregon Trail and a fun learning experience for kids that they will keep coming back and playing.

I remember playing this game when it first was released for computer more years ago than I like to admit. Pure nostalgia! I bought this for switch and it did not disappoint- still a fun game and son and nephews have played and enjoyed this one as well. It’s a classic!
