Als Einzelkontroller z.B. für Mario Kart sehr viel angenehmer als die “halben” JoyCons.
Schade, dass das Pairing nicht so reibungslos funktioniert wie bei den Original-Kontrollern. Das genaue Pairing-Ritual ist aber genau in der Anleitung beschrieben. Firmware-Update für die Kontroller war notwendig (ebenfalls in der Anleitung).
1 Stern Abzug für den Pairing-Komfort, diese Schwachstelle ist aber ausreichend dokumentiert und wurde auch nicht irreführend beworben/verschwiegen.

Bought these so my kids could play four player games. Would normally buy the name brand JoyCon but went with this as a second option due to a lack of availability and subsequent secondary market price hike for the actual JoyCons. Was disappointed at first because they did not appear to work for Mario Kart 8 (one would not switch to horizontal mode and L/R buttons did not work). However, contacted Nyko via email and they were quick to respond with a firmware update. Applied the update and they work perfect. Rumble is not as deep as the JoyCon but is good enough to get the sensation. Feel is sturdy and control response is good. Great product support by Nyko! Overall…happy with purchase.

Initially couldn’t get them to sync with my Switch console. It turns out they require a firmware update. After that, they worked great. More comfortable to hold than the joycon. So if you do decide to get these, just Google how to get them to work via the firmware update (you need to hook them up to a computer with the USB cable).

These will connect to a PC and even show up as a controller but they’re not functional. Switch Joy-Cons show up as a ‘generic controller’ but these don’t even do that.
They work okay on the Switch itself but they’re nothing special.
UPDATE 2024: Steam’s updated joy-con drivers now work with third-party joy-cons, so you could use Steam Input to use these on a PC. Nice! They’re still very boxy though and have most of the same problems as a joy-con.

It won’t stay connected to my console, my console shows it’s connected one second then disconnected , then back to connected. I already updated the firmware on both, still not working. The buttons and joystick unresponsive.
Shame, I really like the design and style of these (the Grey ones are shaped differently) but they just don’t work.

These are larger, more grippy, with better joysticks, and able to charge off any USB C from any USB charger, 3 of which are available on the Nintendo switch dock (so they dont compete with the original joycons for charging). These are especially good as solo joycons but do actually work well as a pair. Definitely recommended.
With the low quality and high failure rate of the authentic nintendo joycons, these are a great option. Highly recommended.

I cannot get these to pair with my kids switch. Based on previous reviews I thought this would be a great low cost option so that all my kids can play at once. I’ve tried everything I can think of to get the to connect to my switch, to no avail. After some research I found that I might need to download a firmware update. However, there’s a problem with that… their WEBSITE DOES NOT EXIST (anymore). I tried calling the number given from akiya-switch.com for customer support and there was nothing there either. WASTE OF MONEY and TIME! DO NOT BUY!!!!
