   My switch w/screen protector on it fits well in this without the joycons. It looks cool but requires a separate charging source. This does not plug into the switch at all, meaning the controller connects via bluetooth. I have not had any trouble with the connection, but I would have preferred a wired option since the switch sits inside the holder.

   This is beautifully designed and It a really nice system, but I wouldn’t recommend it for younger kids. The problem is it is too large with this attached. Way larger than the original joy cons. So depending on whose using it, this could be a slight problem. All other things about it are great. The striking pattern, the ergonomic hold(for larger hands) and the drop assistance. The amount of times the switch fall out of the kids’ hands, I am amazed it isn’t broken.

   I went back to look at this because I missed the extra storage for up to 4 cards initially. This makes it like a travel case as well. The rbg allows you to set up your favourite colour to game with. Joycons are about 80 bucks a pair but they don’t hold up to these. This is sturdier gaming. Highly recommend.

   The JC200 wireless gamepad isn’t perfect, but it’s a definite step up for the Nintendo Switch. What I Like + Better than Joy-Cons. The most obvious improvement over stock (and probably the reason you’re here to begin with) is that the Switch becomes much easier to hold with adult hands, which for me, makes it possible to play in handheld mode for more than 10 minutes at a time without my hands hating me. + Handheld or tabletop or docked. Because it’s wireless, it’s possible to use the JC200 even when the Switch is not nested into it. + Smooth controls. All buttons are responsive and easy to reach. The Hall Effect joysticks feel good; although I can’t tell a difference between them and analog joysticks in good condition, hopefully they’ll live up to the hype of increased durability versus the latter. + Cool lighting effects. I would have been perfectly happy without any lights, but I will concede that the gamepad looks really good with the LEDs on, and they do not distract during gameplay. + The Switch locks into place. Some competitor gamepads rely solely on friction to keep the Switch in place. The JC200 has two locks on the back, one on each side. What I Don’t Like – Blocks some USB accessories. I have some gaming earbuds that use a USB-C dongle that is wider than the housing of a charging cable. Thanks to the thick plastic ledge at the bottom, I can’t connect the dongle when the Switch is in the gamepad. – Noisy haptics. Even at the lower of the two settings, the haptic motors buzz as much as they vibrate. Some buzzing is to be expected, of course, but it’s louder than some third-party pro controllers I have. Luckily, vibration can be disabled altogether if this bothers you too much. – Not so cool-looking with the lights off. The vibrant colours of the gamepad in the marketing renders are pretty close to real-life, but they depend on the LEDs being on. With them turned off, the gamepad looks dull in a way that screams, “third-party accessory.” Despite its drawbacks, this is a pretty good gamepad that offers a vast improvement in ergonomics, and therefore usability of the Nintendo Switch. However, if looks are important to you, I’d recommend the versions of the JC200 in plain black or white, which only have light rings around the joysticks.

   This product looks and feels really cheap, but it worked okay so I was fine. The joysticks are not made for any kind of precision play, so if you’re into anything requiring that, this isn’t for you. However, as an RPG girl, this seemed fine for Diablo/Zelda/Animal Crossing. That is, until it needed charged. I plugged it in to charge and the indicator light goes on to show it’s charging, but it never worked again. When connected it shows it needs charged, no matter how long I’ve left it charging. I have checked the outlet and charger and both are fine, it’s the actual controller. Even if it charged though, this isn’t worth the $50 I spent on it. The joysticks need a bit more precision and the controller itself should be a bit more sturdy. I think a lot of these reviews probably come from parents who are not the actual users of this product.

   I got this starlit sky version controller for my original Switch and it’s working great so far, pairing it with Bluetooth was easy. The Hall Effect is working as it should. The RGB is fun to use and is easy to change. The controller feels good in my hands and makes a big difference with sports games like NBA. It’s a great value for the money.
