   Why doesn’t Nintendo advertise this more? It’s perfect if you have multiple TVs in your house and you want to dock it in different rooms at different times. It’s pricey for what it is – a very simple plastic USB dock that exposes a usb-c port for power and an HDMI output. But it’s worth it for the value it offers.

   With all the talk of 3rd party switch docks bricking their switch, I wouldn’t risk buying anything except this official Nintendo dock.

   No hay mucho que reseñar de este dock oficial.
   Es idéntico al que incluye la consola, con los mismos cables y el mismo adaptador de corriente.
   Funciona de manera perfecta y esta construido muy bien.

   Quizá el único detalle es que es un poco costoso, sin embargo, vale la pena debido a la garantía de no tener ningún tipo de problema con tu consola.

   Got this as a secondary so I can play in different rooms without having to move the dock. Did a lot of research to make sure I was received a legit Nintendo product . I was concerned initially when I received it and the box had Japanese writing instead of English. When I first used it, I noticed the switch doesn’t sit snug, wobbled around pretty bad but it didn’t seem to affect connection. Used it once then kinda forgot about it, so I didn’t use it for about a month. Tried to use it again last week, it kept flashing on and off every 30 seconds and the connection was interrupted repeatedly. When that happened it locked my switch, it went black and would not turn back on for hours. Now the dock doesn’t work no matter what I try. Of course; this happens just two weeks after the return window closed. Waste of money.

   I bought a second dock for my bedroom. Moving my Switch from my living room to my bedroom TV takes two seconds. The portability on this thing is insane.

   Only problem I have is with the price. I bit the bullet when I bought it, it should really be closer to the $80 mark in my honest opinion.

   Wanted this thing to work but every time I put my Switch in it, it shuts my Switch off and I have to remove it and hold the power button 20 seconds to turn it back on. It doesn’t work for me. Will be returning.

   Edit: Just an issue with the HDMI, being lazy I left the old one plugged in. Decided to try the one that came in the box. Works beautifully now.

9. 6 YEAR CHECK IN – How has it held up!? Verified Buyer – 20 March 2025

   TLDR: this has the Japan power supply, not the US power supply. I returned it. The reviews were mostly positive, the seller-answered questions indicated it was an US plug, and the price was right, so I bought this thinking that it would work for me. I was wrong. First, it took over a week to get here, despite us having Prime. I maybe could have forgiven slow transit speed, if that was the problem. But it took 5 or 6 days before it was even put in the mail. Then it was shipped USPS. When shipped, it was just stuck in one of those thin white and blue akiya-switch.com envelopes, which offers zero padding. The box arrived kinda crushed, which had me worried given the plastic cradle inside. But before I bothered to check that, I noticed other issues. The box text was written in Japanese, which was throwing up a red flag. So I pulled out the most important part – the power supply – and compared it to the one that came with my Switch. There were a few differences between the two power supplies, as seen in my pictures. The new Japanese power supply is on the left, and original one that came with my Switch is on the right. While power output is the same, the biggest issue I had was that different electronic certifications weren’t US standards (example: no UL Certification on the Japanese power supply). As such, the actual model number wasn’t the same. On the plus side, the prongs on the power supply look like the standard US prongs. So if you’re feeling spicy and want to use the Japanese power supply, be my guest. Could it have worked? Probably. Was I feeling like gambling on it, with my family’s Switch? Not today.

    It’s not a real USA one or the same one that comes with the original switch. It comes in a Chinese or Japanese box and no English on the box. But don’t get me wrong it seems to work, I’ve only used it once since getting it but works ok. It has to be a a Chinese switch cause when u order the The dock from the actual Nintendo site. They ship it in the box with English. Again seems to work alright and comes with everything .
