   Before discussing the game, I need to talk about being sent the wrong version. I live in the USA, but was sent the European version. This was purchased as a Christmas gift and we didn’t notice until afterwards. You’ll notice on the front cover there is no ESRB (Entertainment Software Rating Board) rating, but rather the PEGI (Pan European Games Information) rating logo. One of my included pictures is an screenshot from this very item as listed on akiya-switch.com CLEARLY showing an ESRB rating, although, this is a family friendly game and that rating can NOT possibly be correct. Also, the side is distinguishable by the centered title and green arrow in the corner. The game cartridge is labeled European with the EUR at the end instead of USA. To my knowledge, the game itself is no different. That may not seem like a big deal at first glance. The problem is updates or DLC’s become available, we may run into region issues, rendering the game unusable. I might expect an oversight like this from some small seller, but this is the official Nintendo link. A company of that magnitude can not and should not be making errors like this. For that, and that reason only, I am deducting 2 stars. The game is wonderful. It’s fun for all ages. I love how you can play with multiple people, so it’s like family game night, but connected through the Switch and TV. The colors are vibrant and it runs smooth. There are plenty of levels, so it will be fun for a long while. I would have rated it 5 stars, but Ian oversees version is unforgivable.

   Before addressing how good the game is or isn’t, somehow, someway… I got the European version of the game. I thought it was me at first. Maybe I was not minding what I was buying and somehow put the PAL version of my game in my shopping cart. I thought it was strange that the side text on the box was in this embiggened bold font, compared to a US Switch case. Nope! I got the PAL version, anyway. LUCKILY, the Nintendo Switch is actually region free. And I found this out by just testing the game. As you can see it turns on, no issues thus far. Mario Party is a good game. Does not matter if you’re in a cart or playing on the Nintendo 64, the fun is always going to be there on a Nintendo/Mario product. The 3-stars alone for me getting the PAL version. _____________________________________________________________ Personal purchase issue aside, it’s Super Mario Party! It has the best use of HD Rumble, and is the best first-party multiplayer game on the Nintendo Switch and is the best Mario Party game in a while. The graphics are well polished, and the frame rate is the best I’ve seen on the Switch. The character selection… I wish it was larger, similar to Mario Kart 8. Like why is Monty Mole, Goomba, and a Hammer Brother playable and not Petey Petey Piranha, Nabbit, or Birdo? Other than that, this is a fine quality Mario game. Great for the family and staying indoors! A great buy for Nintendo Switch owners with friends. Can (almost) never go wrong with a Mario Party game. Game on!

   Got this for my ohana and they absolutely loved it!

   I have not played it before so luckily one of my minions showed me. It was easy, the game will show you which buttons to use during the mini games. There will be some games you won’t like, like me, because I can’t figure it out. It looks like you have to shake the controller to move but you don’t move. So of course, I sucked at that mini game.

   You are only able to use the switch side controllers for multiplayer, not the game controller versions.

   It is like a virtual game board you choose and than there are multiple mini games in between. So much fun!

   Highly recommend, we have been playing every night since it came in.

   My wife and I bought this game for us to play together. It was in great condition. Worked perfectly. The game itself though was just alright. We got bored pretty quickly and tried to exchange it at game stop. Turns out we couldn’t because it’s the European version. So we found someone on our own who would enjoy it.
