I bought this game on my pc when it came out and I always wanted to play it on the go. The nintendo switch was a perfect choice for a port. Runs at 60 fps all the time and my switch never runs hot.

I’ve already played the game on ps4, so it was great to have it on the go, but there is an issue with the subtitles, there is around 0.5-1 second delay, and it annoys me sooooooooo much, enought to put a 4 start review instead of a 5 star, this issue was not present (obviously) in the ps4 version, why it present in this version?

Nier automata is a sick game, and this is an amazing port for the switch, no complains there. Now on the product and shipping part of the deal, the game arrived well packaged and in great condition, that been said. I suspect (I migh be wrong here) that this game is not brand new game, the case arrived “sealed” (with no damage whatsoever) and the game cardtridge is in gread condition (like brand new), but when inspectioning it on the back, the golden contacts made it seem like it was used before (the scratches were very faint mind you), like someone might’ve put the game on a card reader at least once before. All that been said, since everything is in good condition for me overall it was a worth purchase.

I have this game on 3 different platforms; Xbox for the base game, Switch for the DLCs, and PC for the Mods. This game cannot be praised enough and it plays very well on my Switch Lite.

This is absolutely one of those “impossible ports” on the Switch. I played the PS4 version at launch 2017, and it didn’t run at a solid frame rate then. Granted that was shooting for 60fps, while this version is 30fps, but this version seems to run smoother at times because of more consistent frame pacing. Some of the graphics are scaled back a bit, but in docked mode this version runs at a higher resolution than it did on PS4, which is significantly more powerful. I’m having a blast playing through again on my OLED Switch, and can easily recommend this to anyone interested.
Excellent port by the team at Virtuous, and great game all around. Also, the soundtrack is exceptional!
