   I tried the demo on the Nintendo eShop and it was fun, with some nice improvements to 4 Ultimate, not to the scale of World, but enough to give the game setting a refined look – which led to this purchase. The artes can drastically change how you approach a monster and keeps things fresh, even more so with the number of weapons to try and master. Playing as a Palico is also an option! A satisfying way to hunt a wide variety of monsters while waiting for more World content and on the go too.

   One thing, this listing seems to send the PAL (UK) version and not the NA one. Look into the other listing if this is a concern.

   Newbie here to MH & wanted to see what all the fuss is about. Heard this game has a “monster” load of content & seeing how this is the 1st MH game for the Switch despite being a 3ds port with more content added to it followed by a graphical update. I just had to dig right in for it knowing that it’s a more traditional classic MH game compared to World. I just want to hunt some monsters on my switch & MHGU obviously does it for me don’t care if it looks like a PS2 game in Full HD or HD in general but the gameplay, mechanics, & hours of content for grinding is what made me purchase this game for $51.95 (prime discount) Now who’s ready to hunt? PS. Sucks that the PAL version got the inside artwork while NA didn’t. Doesn’t make sense but whatever Capcom thanks for the game.

   I wouldn’t recommend this as a first Monster Hunter game because it has so much content and doesn’t really have an identity of its own.. but that’s exactly what makes it great for those who have played at least a few games before. The amount of content is actually insane but with a gameplay loop like Monster Hunter’s it never gets old. You are constantly fighting and encountering old monsters from past games as well as plenty of variants that shake up their fights. The most monsters. The most armor. The most weapons. The most bang for your buck of any Monster Hunter game by far, and now you can play it with good controls (sorry, 3ds, but playing on you gives me arthritis even though you are my favorite console)

   Also it shipped fast and came in perfect condition

   Been playing and collecting MonHun merch since 2012. After being disappointed with the lack content of World, I was excited to hear that Gen Ultimate was coming for the switch. The transfer data from the 3DS MonHun Generations to Switch MonHun Gen Ultimate was super easy and my 400+ hours were not lost….but I received so much content and free DLC I didn’t know what to do with it. And we continue to get more FREE DLC content every month. Love the flashy action, all the monsters, the deviants and obviously the fun and (partially) unforgiving G-Rank quests. If you enjoy the challenge of the handheld Monster Hunters and their crazy contents – this game is for you! The other awesome thing is that you can finally record part of gameplay and screenshots like crazy. I have many moments that describing them oukd not be possible….but they are forever recorded and that is a plus!! Happy hunting!!!

   I ordered Monster Hunter Generations Ultimate because I was a big fan of Monster Hunter World, and my brother already owned a copy so I figured playing together would be fun after 500+ hours in World. I was hungry for more. The game lacks a lot of the quality of life changes in MHW, but it has a LOT of content. If you’re new to the series like me, and interested in seeing what the games were like before World, I recommend checking it out. It is clunky and certainly different, you might want to check a few reviews or videos on the game before taking the plunge. The product page I ordered from advertised the North American version, but I received a European copy (with Arabic script on the back). The Switch and the Game are both luckily region free, the game defaulted to English and I was able to play with others online who owned the North American copy. The inside of the case had reversible cover art not found in the North American version, which I found to be pretty neat. For a World player like me who is new to the series, it is going to take some getting used to, but If you just can’t get enough Monster Hunter, you can’t go wrong here. And don’t worry too much if you get an EU copy, as it works either way!
