Feels like a Metroid game. It’s primarily about exploring alien and hostile environments. Combat is a little stiff – the gamecube controller fit the controls but the joycons don’t feel natural to use. I’m fairly certain the scan visor worked differently in the original, here it feels too small and limited.
Lots of detail in the environments, the different visors have a lot of details as well. Backtracking can feel tedious, some of the level design doesn’t make sense or lend itself well to the maps.
Overall pretty solid – use the in game hint system if you get stuck, and remember to scan bosses to learn strategies.

If you have a Nintendo switch, this remastered version is awesome. One of the best games on the switch in my opinion
