   We bought this for our 8 year old who loves his Nintendo Switch. The concept of the game is perfect and it’s great for him to play something a little different. What we didn’t realize is that as we are outside the USA we couldn’t download the online game that accompanies the cart. We only managed to get around it by creating a new Nintendo account and stating that we were in the US so that we could download it. That was really the only negative part but there was an easy way to get around it, so no biggie. As Nintendo Switch is so international I feel this is something that they need to fix internally as it makes no sense to limit download only to accounts registered in the US. Apart from that, it’s a great game.

   This is an amazing product, basically it’s the future of gaming in a way. It’s augmented reality with a physical kart to drive through your house… in whatever type or style of course you design. If you dont have a single room big enough for a track you can link rooms together for a giant course. It works exactly as its described. My entire family is having incredible fun playing this. The kids are coming up with all kinds of ideas for courses and ways to decorate them with their toys. The possibilities are only limited by the amount of imagination put into your track design. This is a great product from start to finish. The only drawback is that there is no physical copy of the game, so I wonder what happens two generations of gaming consoles in the future. It requires internet connection to play, so when nintendo shuts off the servers for the switch in 10 or so years… will it just be a toy to put on a shelf and collect dust? In the present year of 2021, it’s totally worth the 90 or so dollars. If scalpers raise the price it wont be worth it, but at Nintendo’s price it is a great purchase. The only reason I’m giving it four stars is due to it not including a physical copy of the game itself.

   Was nice to be able to just get at home as we couldn’t get locally at time. Son loves playing with and driving around. He likes that he can make his own track. Only issue I see is that the gates for game are cardboard they do seem a little flimsy to last a long time. We have been try to protect them. So far ok. But would definitely be nice for more durable as they have run into them with car. But the more open and fold them back up the worse they get. We just got a second Luigi car so have them as backup. But if made from plastic would of been better.

    I bought both Mario and Luigi Karts thinking both could be played like regular Mario Kart but only if the other player has a Switch also. Other than that the play and feel is awesome. I was blown away by the Mixed Reality play.

    Absolutely amazing! I love VR, I love AR, but this is incredibly inventive and genuinely fun. I’ve been playing video games since the Magnavox Odyssey days and I could have never imagined anything like this. Camera works great, connection is easy (over local wifi via QR code) control is very responsive, tight and natural. Setting up the race track is a blast coming up with obstacles and new arrangements. I highly recommend this product to anyone who loves mario kart and track creation.

    This mario kart game was definitely something else, the moment i saw it i knew i needed it for my collection. The RC itself is about 1/24th scale and works with the Switch of course as the controller. Having an RC with a camera attached is a plus but the AR is really want brings life to game itself. There are however a few things to note before purchase.. –There is no physical game in box!– Yes..The game is digital download only and free! You are paying 100$ for the car itself, keep that in mind! –Doesnt work well on carpets or outside.– Nintendo doesn’t want you using it outdoors but it does work outside in some driveways-> when its not too bright outside.. As for carpet play? It works, but not too well. Hard wood is recomended. –No suspension– Has Zero suspension, cant go over small objects or slopes or even bumps without getting stuck! –No Replacement parts.– Nintendo missed a big chance here – Why release a 100$ RC car without extra parts? The tires will definitely wear down. Junk, hair, and lint will get stuck inside and around the wheels AND you cant get the rim off the car to clean it.. +Final Verdict? : Great idea and cool RC Car AR Mario kart experience! But there is so many flaws and you may just end up having to replace it in the future for another 100$..

    This is incredibly fun. Set up is 1.2.3 and your off to the races. Video quality is decent. I was really impressed at how responsive the kart is. My kids love this.

    We brought this for my son for Christmas, he loves it, the fact it has a camera on he really enjoys moving it around the house and seeing what everyone is up to, he has set the barriers up that comes with it but prefers to just do it without and will sit in one room while the car is in another room
    It comes with plug in cable to charge which is so much easier than having to replace batteries all the time
    He has crashed it many times and it still works perfectly
    Great buy and good for the price

    Super easy to configure, super entertaining, the races are awesome! BUT quite frankly I prefer to chase my puppy with it! LOL this is super FUN! The only thing I wish was better, is the camera range, edited it lose signalwithinthe same room, it gives many errors of Wi-Ficonnection (it easily lose signal from one room to another) and my place doesn’t have thick or concrete walls, it is an apartmentof 1090sq ft so is not that big. Even though is super fun, the fact that you have to be very close to the cart and bad connection to Wi-Fi lowers the stars for me. For the price it should have a better distance coverage range.

    Voor dit spel is eigenlijk maar één woord te geven: ge-wel-dig! De kart voelt stevig aan en kan ook duidelijk tegen een stootje. Het rondrijden door je kamer en je kamer vanuit een heel ander perspectief zien, is gewoon fun! En dat gecombineerd met het bekende Mario Kart, maakt het gewoon tot een superleuk spel! Zeker als je een beetje van technische gadgets houdt, is dit gewoon superleuk. Het geld méér dan waard!
