I was glad it came faster then previously stated. It’s a game where the player can choose either gender. Unfortunately I’m stuck with the given name the game makers made instead of choosing what be I could give, but I get a lot of answer choices and there are battles as advertised. The leveling seems a bit slow, but I only just started playing. I won’t know a better view point until I play the game more.

Maglam Lord is a JRPG about a demon lord….looking for love?? With their race on the brink of extinction, you will complete quests while inviting friends and potential lovers to accompany you. Story is whatever but it is goofy and full of anime tropes. The art and design of the characters are good, and I had no issues with the sound/music. Traversing the world is fine but the combat is lackluster. When encounter enemies on the field, the screen switch’s to a side view similar of the original Tales of games, just without the depth. And the load times are not good. Overall this is a really average game, but if you want a dating sim action RPG, then give it a shot. 3 out of 5

Okay, this is probably the worst game I ‘ve picked up at random. lets go with the good: nice art design, battle and crafting systems are good, music is great, and it would easily be a 4/5 if it were grammatically correct. Yeah that’s right its not proper English. so this game has this thing with using they/them in the singular AND plural for not just your character but for all characters! You start the game making a choice, male or female demon lord or lady and the game ignores this choice by not using the right pronoun. See in a game like this the art design has the talking portraits take up about 1/3 of the screen at a time once more than 4 characters are in the scene the game is going to refer to characters not shown frequently. Once it reaches 6 characters the dialogue makes no sense. This is a story driven, action RPG/dating sim so that actually matters here. with the dialogue completely busted I can’t expect anyone to enjoy this. Youve been warned.
