   Purchased these Sonic joycons as one of my son’s birthday presents for his new Nintendo Switch and he loves them. The functionality is great and it grips well (like an Xbox or PS4/PS5 controller). My son is a HUGE Sonic fan and he was super excited to use these with his Switch. He plays games much better than he would with regular joycons. Definitely recommend this to anyone that prefers controllers over joycons and, of course, anyone that’s a diehard Sonic fan!

   First thing I noticed out the package was apparently they’re only for handheld use not for separate play. That wouldn’t be that much of a problem bc i bought these for my little brother and he usually plays handheld except they’re so big. They are wider than the switch by a lot and even I was struggling to use them. My brother still has pretty small hands so unfortunately I’ll have to return them. They would be good for someone with larger hands though.

   This thing is great. The assignable buttons really pull their weight and make games able to be played in a whole new multitude of ways. My personal favorite to play on this thing is stuff like Bayonetta and Disney Dreamlight. The assignable buttons serve completely different purposes in this regard, but work equally as well. Kudos to Hori…you win again.

   These controller options are pretty cool, licensed Nintendo product and they are very comfortable easy to use programmable triggers and turbo options are easy to set.

   But..

   and this was the only downfall.. these controllers are made to be used on the console in hand held mode ONLY. You cannot use them for table top or tv mode. As a matter of fact they only turn on if they are connected directly to the switch console. They won’t even fit on the joy con controller adapter to use them in the other mode and there’s no way to power them even if they did connect to it.

   If that’s not a problem for you, 5/5 option.

    These are very comfortable I have pretty big hands given the keys that I have 65 and he fit so much well on my hand having a little Grips in the back makes it easier more comfortable for longer amount of time I highly suggest buying.

    Sinceramente los compré para mi hijo, a el le ENCANTA Sonic y pensé que sería un bonito gesto de mi parte darle una sorpresa pero… al momento de estarlos testeando 😂🤣😂 me gustaron para mí!! Siento que se acomoda muy bién a la palma de mi mano, los botones responden muy bién, palancas L y R también se sienten muy comodas!!! Lo único que podría decir es que ZR y ZL son un poco grandes pero es algo que en cuestión de unos momentos jugando te puedas acostumbrar!!! Perfecto, al menos a mí me ENCANTARON… estoy esperando a que venga mi hijo de visita para ver su cara de emoción!!

    My 9 year old sonic, video game obsessed kid loves these. They’re a bit bulky and don’t fit in his carrying case (even though it is a roomy case that also fits a phone, a NS charger, extra joycons, and a gameboy) so he takes them off and stores them on to the side. But he won’t play with any other controller now. I don’t like buying controllers because of price, but I would definitely buy these again.

    As an owner of a Nintendo switch, the split pad Pro is a must-have. In multiple variants such as Sonic the Hedgehog, Mega Man, Pac-Man, Pokemon, or just standard plain colors with no design, these feel great in your hands. A great aspect is that they don’t have or need batteries like the default or standard joy-cons and Pro Controllers you might have, you can just connect them to your switch and play with them in handheld mode for as long as you want without the need of worrying about recharging the joy-cons themselves. I highly recommend getting yourself this if have a Nintendo switch but haven’t got this, it’s worth it.
