This is a Chinese copy product for Japanese company Hori’, but the challenge is that there is no original drum of Hori on akiya-switch.com. I knew this factor, however, the performance was not bad comparing with Hori’ when I found it a Youtube review. My feedback after using this drum is also that the performance is not bad even the cost is nearly half of Hori’s.

É bastante bonito, funciona muito bem e é de boa qualidade. Poderia ter uma borracha melhor no tambor, mas nada problemático.
Gostaria que tivesse em outras cores…

I never used a drum for Taiko before so I don’t know how well the more expensive ones work.
Had no problems setting it up. It does calibrate to the notes I’d say 98%, I have most problems with the drum head not registering but I think that’s me worried about hitting to hard cuz of my next problem.
It’s very loud. And living in a house with other people you get worried you’re gonna bother other people with it. Hoping to find ways to try to muffle the sound without making it hard to register the notes cuz I do play on expert.
Other than that, if you’re looking for something cheap to try I think it’s worth it. It shipped out so fast and I don’t have prime kind of surprised me.

Left bumper didn’t work on the drum where your suppose to hit it. Seems to work for some but not everyone.

I can’t get it to work with my Nintendo Switch. Description says it’s Switch compatible. Plugged it into my PC to troubleshoot. Shows up as an Xbox controller. Seems all the buttons work, just not Switch compatible. I guess it’s just a hilarious way to play my PC games now.

I received the switch version, and it’s amazing and really nice to play. But make sure that you go to settings and then go to controllers and sensors, wired pro control communication (or something like that) is on or the drum will not work. Other then that really amazing drum would 100% recommend

Thought I would try the cheaper option first…and so far it’s a win!! I saw a bunch of reviews that said it wouldn’t work, you do indeed need to allow wired controllers in the consoles settings menu. Having an absolute blast with these!

Great way for kids to develop rhythm and coordination, and get some movement in. Actual taiko drumming classes are rare and expensive. Nice way for the grandkids to connect with their Japanese heritage.

Right now, it’s near impossible to get the Official Hori Drum for the regular price, so I took a gamble on this, and I’m pleasantly surprised! Granted, it’s nowhere near as nice as the original drum, but for a casual player, this is a great replacement! I was a bit worried at first about how long it would last me, but with 20+ hours of drumming, we are seeing no signs of weakness or breakage, so I’ll consider that a win! Very pleased overall, and would honestly purchase another if needed!
