The previous games were great and had actual progression, interaction with the animals, and scientific research. This game is just a randomly generated fish tank that you swim around in and scan fish to add them to your pokédex. The “story mode” missions are absolute trash busy work, and the disembodied robo-voice guide is nothing but a constant irritant. If this had instead been a lazy, unchanged port of the previous titles, it would have been far, far superior to the insulting embarrassment that it is. I 100% wish I’d pirated it first to try out instead of paying for it; that’s what I get for assuming and trusting the team just because their previous work was so amazing.
