   The game is top notch in terms of gameplay. However it has some shortcomings in terms of storytelling vs. character creation. The game has an upgrade system for your player characters. But there’s a trade-off; over 90% of the “upgrades” mangle the character’s physical appearance, turning them slowly into a disgusting robotic abomination. This is after you can spend at least an hour at the start of the game creating your character. If you care about your character’s appearance, you’re not going to buy those upgrades, which will screw you at endgame when they stop placing healing items in the mission zones. The other shortcoming of the game comes from its roots in the older Armored Core series, where the story advances outside of our character’s influence.

   Game is awesome. fun robot action!! Im rating it 5 stars cause don’t want to lower the game rating. BUT……. I bough it from distributor Pro-Distributing. with akiya-switch.com fulfillment and I receive the European version. Not big deal as switch is region free… but at least they should be specific about it in the description or change the cover art so you know you will get the European version of the game.

   False advertising. Be careful when buying if you live in the US. The product was marketed as a US edition game but when I got it, it’s a European copy. If the game contained dlc that you would want to access, you won’t be able to get it without a European Nintendo account. Not trusting any game from this seller anymore

   Daemon X Machina brings a lot of awesome fresh features to this genre. I love the style. Everything feels really cohesive. The action is way more fast paced than the armored core games we have gotten use to. Some of the mission areas are too small with how fast u can go. One thing I’m not super into, but I expected not to be into it, was the long drawn out narative. At some points the characters have “small talk” that lasts forever not progressing story. The story itself is great. I love the concept.
