I’ve been playing this for a few hours and so far I have found this to be a great fighter. I’m a Persona/Blazblue guy coming to the table, so the character roster was pretty impressive to me. I, personally, find the controls to be pretty good. I know there are a lot of people that prefer more precise controls, especially with fighters, but for a casual consumer of the genre, I found this game to handle quite well. I took off a star partly because half of the fighters are paid DLC that will be released at a later date. Some sort of line is being crossed when half of the game is missing and it is known well in advance. This game has some day one bugs that slow down some character intro animations; other than that, the online has been surprisingly active with little to no slowdown for me. I can already tell the story is going to be ridiculous judging by the few missions I have played, but these crossover games always have over the top stories. If you dig any of the franchises present in this game, this is certainly a great fighter to pick up. Seeing as this game has the same chibi hub world and utilizes similar gameplay, I hope this is a sign that FighterZ is next!

Super fun and easy to get into with an expancive tutorial. Large cast to play as and all of them feel unique, just watch out for full screen supers from some of the more Esports picks. Lots of dlc and more on the way. One down side would be a lack of single player content but then again its a fighting game so what can you expect, survival mode is a pretty good time killer tho. Also RWBY is in it and RWBY is great

Many said that they got a copy of the game from a different country but mine was thakfully the american version.
This game has great combat and flashy moves that feel satisfing to pull off. I especialy love playing as the RWBY characters a lot.

The game play gets some getting used to but otherwise it’s really fun to play but the Story Mode could have used some work. Otherwise I do reccommend this game to those who are fans of the series in this. I am a RWBY fan and loved how well made it was to suit them.

This game is fun and looks great running on the Switch. Cross Tag Battle simplified combos and special move inputs to make it easier for new players to enjoy the game without completely eliminating the myriad of complex mechanics that add depth to current fighting games. The cast of fighters are full of personality, stages are colorful and the music is an anime/j-pop explosion. And now the catch….
If you have read any reviews on this game you know what I am about to say. First off, there are not a lot of features for playing offline. Secondly (and most importantly), HALF of the roster of fighters are DLC. The base game includes 20 fighters with 2 additional fighters as free downloads. The other 18 must be purchased forms the game store on whichever platform you are on.
I think is normal to expect additional fighters to be released as DLC for any new fighting game… but not half the roster. Gross.

Best fighting game out on the Switch right now. I’ve been a fan of Arc System Works (BlazBlue) and French Bread (UNIEL/Melty Blood) for a decade now and this game hits it out of the park. As a busy person who can’t commit to learning complex combos, the simplified execution is a dream.

I wasn’t too sure about this working out. It seemed like it was just going to be BlazBlue but less complicated. That’s exactly what it is, and that really works in its favor. Most of my friends find most fighting games to be too intimidating but between this and DBZ fighters I’ve managed to open them up to the genre a bit more. I know there is a complaint about there being a lot of DLC, but I think the base game has plenty of characters as is, and ultimately you could just wait for it to get a bit cheaper before buying.

It’s so much fun! I like fighting games but I typically get bored after playing one for an hour or so, this game changed that! I played some matches and was instantly hooked, the character intros are cool to and they have a lot of color options for the outfit they wear.
