   Let’s start off with saying I love the Binding of Isaac. I own all of the versions on PC as well as the N3DS. I purchased and gifted a few copies on Steam to friends because I really believe in the game. It’s solid and wonderful to play. There are so many items, some better than others, which make the item combination almost endless. To add to that, there are a lot of mostly unique characters to play as. This game will provide hours of fun IF you like unlocking things, experimenting, and exploring. The reason the game doesn’t get a perfect is because on the Switch version there is no quick reset and there are frame rate issues that can happen when there’s a lot on the screen and/or the game has to do calculations for your projectiles. Also, if the game had a UI slider to make certain things smaller, like the stats and recent items, it would make it an even better game.

   Da noch immer nicht bekannt ist, wann das Spiel in Europa veröffentlicht wird, habe ich es eben hier gekauft. Ueberrascht war ich, dass die Sticker fehlen. Meine Schuld, wusste nicht, dass es 2 Versionen gibt. Die hier im Angebot ist die ohne Sticker. 5 Sterne für das Spiel. Muss man als Isaac-Fan und Switch-Besitzer einfach haben.

   The Binding of Isaac no debe ser juzgado por su pinta, este es un juego con un nivel de profundidad digna de ser jugada, y vista.

   My first introduction to the roguelike genre way back when it was on newgrounds. Happy to purchase this updated version for the switch, as that’s the console I use the most these days. Very challenging but does have a very high replay value with how many characters and items there are. Also one of the weirdest games I have ever played with its themes, enemies and level design. But hey, this is an easy recommendation if you’re up to the challenge. Harder than Hades by far!

   Very nice! Also, got the launch edition that has the manual and stickers. Awesome! Worth the money. Ordered on the 24th and received on the 27th. Didn’t even pre order but I guess the launch edition batch was not sold out when I put in my order. Lucky me! The manual alone is what sets this launch edition being so special. Many years down the road, this will be a very sought out launch edition by game collectors.

   Received the game (like two weeks after I ordered and I’m Prime) but it has a different box art than what is listed and no goodies inside like the stickers and instruction booklet, only the game itself. Half the reason I bought the physical retail version was for these. I figured it was shipped so late because supply was low but I’m a little disappointed because I love Issac and Edmund McMillen’s games and art! Not sure if I’m going to return, complain or what.

   I have the previous versions of this game on a huge range of other systems, so I obviously love it. Even with having all those other versions, however, this updated and expanded release is still well worth it to me. For one, performance is top-notch, with no hint of slow-down. For another – and this surprised me the most – the Switch’s controls, with the two JoyCon’s docked on the sides, seem ideally suited for the game. It controls great with the two analog sticks. The game also looks great on the Switch’s screen, almost like it was tailor-made. Finally, to top it all off, the packaging is actually pretty nice, with a manual and stickers. This is a far cry from almost every modern game, where you basically get the media and a case.

   The game itself is quite difficult, particularly given the fact that it generates a new game world each and every time, so you may not get access to particularly helpful items with each new instance. With that said, this is the type of game where you do get a little better each time out. It’s the perfect game for both quick and longer sessions, which kind of speaks to the Switch’s own flexibility. I highly recommend it.

   This game is great! If it weren’t for the akiya-switch.com discount I would have bought the digital copy instead. Some people are complaining about the lack of manual and stickers from their copies. The manual and stickers were only for those who pre-ordered or were lucky enough to get some of the extra pre-order batch. The cover art has changed and the developers did announce that they were making another physical batch of BOI with this new cover art with Isaac with wings. This copy does not include any stickers or manual but just the case and game itself. Now to the actual game. BOI on the Switch includes the base game and also the two DLCs. If you bought this on Steam the price would be $35 compared to the Switch’s price of $40 for the same content. The difference being is that the Switch offers portable play which I would rather have. You also get a physical copy that you can resell if you grow tired of the game (but I doubt you will). The game itself is a lot of fun and can be played for a small gaming session or for hours on end. You also have the option of multiplayer with up to 4 players. I would recommend this over the steam version because it is nice to have a portable version of the game to play if you’re waiting for your car to get fixed or any small wait times.

    For those still looking for the stickers and manual and re wrapped problem. That’s what main came in. I’m was lucky and got this at waltmart. However I also got the second edition for my friend birthday and he didn’t get the launch edition either. They didn’t know how this game was going to sell on the switch so in order to make more money they did a bonus for people buying it at launch. When they sold out instead of just leaving it digital at that point they decided to do another printing without the bonus. So if your buying it from akiya-switch.com at this point of time you will not be getting the first edition. Your with have the new cover without the extras and the strange shrink wrap. It does not mean it was used it just how they rewrapped .heck even my edition was just like that. Just FYI.

    Love this game on the switch, what an astounding port. 1080p, 60fps, couch co-op and on the go co-op, packed full of all expansions. What a top notch job. The manual? Remember those? It has one, a shot for shot homage of the original NES Zelda game as well, look at them side by side and you’ll be impressed. This game is well priced for the content, and the manual, and the packaging which included some nice stickers. A must have for every switch owner.

    Also, devs take note, consumers love feeling like they got something for their money, this short manual does the trick. It’s in full color, and really solidifies the purchase. Amazing port, amazing packaging, amazing value in terms of content, this game is a 10/10.
