This game is dope honestly, I recommend it for everyone. It’s a port of a mobile game, but I like it more than the original. It has some fun campaigns and special stages, ranging from easy, to Dark Souls levels of frustrating. There’s a lot of cool cats to collect and evolve, and the edition exclusive cats you get are totally worth it. Truthfully this game isn’t JUST fun. It’s a good investment, this is one of those rare small batch published games that’ll be worth a pretty decent chunk of change in about 20 years. So don’t sleep on this one.

Great game, gives you lots of cat food to collect all the stuff and to spend on continues to finish the game, but there is an awfully lot of content missing for this compared to the mobile release. I understand that they did not want to add real money store to this game, but would be nice to have some one-time DLC available to expand the experience closer to mobile.
Still, the kid loved it.

I play The Battle Cats on my phone a lot so I decided why not play it on the Switch, too? It’s mostly the same, a little different. I like that you can play co-op. The units are dazzling on my big TV screen; it’s so cool seeing them up there instead of on my comparatively tiny phone screen. I also like that you can play with a controller or use the touch screen. The mini games you can play to restore energy and win tickets and items are challenging but fun. My only complaint is that Ponos decided to employ the energy expense on the levels just like on the mobile game. I was led to believe I could play as much and as long as I want without having to worry about that, but the cat food cost to restore energy is small + the opportunity to play the mini games to help restore it come fairly often, so I guess I can overlook it.
