Ashen is to Dark Souls, like Tunic is to Zelda. Ashen is such a beautiful game. If you are a Soulsborne fan, get this game. Just like Tunic paid homage to Zelda, but wasn’t an empty clone. Ashen does the same for Soulsborne fans.

The art and story is fantastic. But the difficulty is through the roof at the Palace of Lathyrus dungeon. And unlike the first real dungeon there are no shortcuts, no breaks. And I ended up quitting what could have been a beautiful experience. Not saying the game should be easy but the reward for upping your weapons to Ashen +7 should be they can now 1 hit kill normal enemies and 2 shot kill the tanks.
