I love this chunky guy. Big heavy case that just sits on the desk with no chance of sliding. I can pound on the buttons with no fear of these bad boys breaking. They are the standard type and come with two replacements in the box. I didn’t need the brace for stability so I just them off. Ran a few fighters I had in my steam collection to get a fell for the device and set it up with a control scheme I could use for most games. still getting used to not having a joystick but half circle motions are really easy to come out with this once you get your fingers used to the buttons.

This is a great place to start if you are interested in trying an all-button arcade controller. The buttons are not very good, but suitable to get a feel for things. The controller can be opened for easy button replacement, secured with just 4 phillips screws. If you buy this with the intention of using it seriously, plan on replacing the buttons with higher quality buttons. From a value perspective it’s unbeatable, the foundation is solid. Excellent build quality, layout and feel, with a nice weight to it. Replacing the buttons will put this on par with the $200+ controllers that have them already installed, it’s a very easy DIY project and will cost you so much less. Aside from the buttons, the only major shortcoming would be lack of PS4/PS5/Xbox compatibility. Easily remedied by an adapter, but something to keep in mind if you want this for modern consoles besides Switch. Highly recommended!!
