I always kinda thought hitboxes were too expensive. Snackboxes were tiny and sold out, and after messing with a 3d printed shell I didn’t really like the button feel either.
But… you know, for 100 bucks and akiya-switch.com, I figured I could give this one a shot.
Super glad I did. It feels sturdy, has an input display to validate your presses, supports tons of consoles but glides right in on PC with X-Input, and the switches are smooth and quiet without any wild wiggle. The split style means I can play shmups with WASD style layout or do fighting games with thumb jumps. And it’s not a behemoth like so many fight sticks, nor do you need to find aftermarket parts to screw around with joystick throw.

Ive been using mine since August 2024 and i love it alot, it has survived many hours or Tekken.
I have customised mine, by changing the switches, keycaps & used a vynl wrap to make it look cooler.
I take it to tournaments and love how compact it is, you do need a seperate dongle to make it compatable with PS5, but that also worked great.
The extra buttons are also great for making macros for like kii charge, reset in practice etc.

Been using it for a few months playing Tekken 8 and is been so much fun to use. This is my first leverless controller and there were growing pains of course but not to the fault of the controller.
For a sub $100 controller it fell weighty and not like a cheap build. Buttons feel and sound good to press. If you are tech savy the online interface is super easy to navigate. Highly recommend this for a first leverless
Traveling with it is super easy. The thin design and minimal cordage let’s you pack in without worry of losing too much space. Personally I move it in the shipped box.

Seems like a solid choice for a reasonably priced all button controller. Purchased for my son, he’s a tall guy with pretty big hands. Just overall big not fat hands. If you’ve got normal sized hands I think this would be great. He ended up returning because it was just too small overall for him. His hands were kinda cramped making it less comfortable/not ergonomical to use.

This thing feels like a tank in your hands. Its sturdy, accurate and responsive. The buttons don’t randomly stop working like they do on the plastic and aluminum junk that is the Razer Kitsune (which I’ve replaced twice).
This thing is worth every penny. You may want to grab a longer cable though.

– precisione e input lag minore di qualsiasi hitbox/fightbox con i tastoni sanwa e simili
– ottima qualità strutturale, al tatto il case in allumunio dà proprio l’impressione di aver tra le mani un prodotto solidissimo
– facilmente personalizzabile, non dovrete svitare nulla ma semplicemente sollevare i tappini e cambiare gli switch
– costa un terzo di un kitsune
LATI NEGATIVI:
– se giocate tenendolo sulle ginocchia,le dimensioni ridotte potrebbero renderlo poco stabile. meglio usarlo sul tavolo.
– richiede un adattatore per usarlo su ps5
