This dock not only looks awesome, but the connectivity is rock solid.

Not a huge fan of the charging adapter for the pro controller, but that’s on Nintendo for not using touch contacts built into the controller itself.

The addition USB out is perfect to charge another device.

What caught my eye about this specific docking station is the fact that not only does it have a place to rest your controller but it charges it at the same time! The set includes two different charging adapters. One is for the actual Nintendo Switch Pro Controller and the second adapter is for the companies own Pro Controller. Each adapter is labeled with the letter N and the letter M so you can tell the difference. I went ahead and used a third party Switch controller that uses the same body style of an actual Switch Pro controller and it fit perfectly. The only thing is the adapters won’t always work for generic controllers. So you do have to trial and error. I took a picture of my actual authentic Switch Pro Controller and everything fit like a glove. I do not recommend for you to keep removing the adapter on and off, just to prevent it from getting loose over time. I just left mine on my Pro Controllers since those are the ones I use the most. The underneath of the base has a sticky liner to give it stability on any surface. I think the overall design looks absolutely INCREDIBLE, especially if you have a matching white OLED Switch. This docking base can give you up to a 4K resolution but the majority of the Switch games don’t really give you that but it’s good to know that it’s there. The only drawback that it does not include any cables! So keep in mind that you need to use your own HDMI cable and AC adapter or buy a second AC adapter to connect to this docking station.

I like that this dock for the Nintendo Switch includes a charging spot for a Switch Pro controller and fits more loosely around the Switch console than the standard Switch dock, which allows you to dock the Switch even if it has bulky faceplate armor. $50 for this dock seems a bit steep, but it is a convenient and inviting design. Overall a great option for Nintendo Switch owners, I expect this dock to last as long as my Nintendo Switch console if not longer.

This dock appealed to me because it had the built-in pro controller charger. As someone who rarely ever plays their switch in handheld mode, this made charging/docking super convenient. It does everything you need it to do, and includes the standard USB-C (AC adapter) port, HDMI (4K/30Hz) port, and USB (3.0 5Gbps) port. Most of the docks I have come across have little USB dock extensions to plug the Joycons into, so I was happy to find one that is for the pro controller. It supports the official Nintendo Pro Controller (which is what I tested it with), and also has support for something called the “Pro-HD” controller though I’m not sure what that is. But the more options the better of course. Once you have the Switch docked, the base sits very solid and doesn’t feel flimsy or cheap. The controller charger is conveniently placed in the front side of the dock. If you’re wondering how it charges, there is a small USB device that goes into the top of the controller (USB-C) which then moves the charging contacts to the back of the controller where it can sit in the charger. It’s all very seamless. If I had to be critical, I would say additional color options would be appreciated – but I’m not going to dock points for that since the product details match what is being sold. The only other argument I would make is up to personal preference, but I like controller charges that “click” the controller into place – this one does not. But again, certainly not going to dock it a point just for that. Check the pictures I’ve uploaded for more details. Also note, no cables come with this product. But if you’re simply swapping out, you should already have the necessary cables.

I purchased this dock because of its sleek design and its ability to charge both controllers and the Switch simultaneously in a single location. However, after a few days of use, I encountered some issues with its connectivity. When switching between different devices on the same monitor, the dock’s connection became unstable. Additionally, the charging light would flicker on and off, and occasionally, the charging indicator on the Switch would appear. Furthermore, the ventilation in the dock is not particularly effective.

To be honest, I really like the form factor of this dock station, but the unstable connectivity is concerned to me as for a long time use. I will be returning this and hope the product can get better later on.
