   This controller is $100 build for $40. It’s amazingly well built. Good plastic with a quality weight to it. Toggles are amazingly smooth and accurate. Buttons feel perfect. It is a perfect fit in the hands. You can use AA batteries and I have rechargeables. The thing is loaded with buttons you can assign. I can’t think of a single way to improve this controller. Buy it you won’t be sorry. I just wish the switch Joycons had this kind of build.

   I got this as a controller to keep in the Tesla for playing games on downtime. Love it. Connected wirelessly right away and had no issues. Comes with a nice little case and a charging cord. It has multilanguage instructions for setup if you need them. You will need to pay attention to the selector switch on the back of the remote to indicate if you are going to turn on the bluetooth. Battery pack holds charge for at least 8 hours of gaming and recharges with the included USB cable.

   Seems used but for the boxing day price I’m not complaining. It works as intended. D-pad moving Left seems stiff, compared to moving right. The case maybe free but the box is not sealed and also generic. I would suggest buying the version without the carrying case because the box is sealed and it’s also a very nice box that can be used as a carrying case. Is the case even necessary? Idk. I store extra stuff in it. The controller itself is, in my opinion, the best 3rd party controller made so far. Belongs in the video game museum along with the original controllers made. It’s best features are the Pro Software and the rechargeable batter packs design to allow for regular AA batteries to be used when it reaches end of life. The controller works without batteries while wired.

   Bought this primarily to try with my Tesla Model S (Refresh). I originally paired on mode “D”, per some comments I saw prior to purchasing. Although it paired and worked fine with Beach Buggy Racing – managed to play a couple of rounds – it didn’t register as a true controller in this mode. Boomerang Fu and Cuphead both showed that a controller was needed to play.

   So I cycled through the other modes, “S” and “A”, and re-added the controller via bluetooth each time, to see if Boomeramg Fu would pick it up. Still no luck in either mode. I finally switched to “X” mode, re-added and was finally good to go. I was able to complete a full match in Boomeramg Fu with the controller.

   Now the buttons (letters) layout were off, but I’m not going to ding 8BitDo on that. Its fairly easy to adjust to it while in-game.

   The 8bitdo pro 2 game controller is a great buy. It hooked to my MacBook pro with ease. And I was able to use it on a Tomb Raider game that did not show it in the supported hardware list

   Currently my favorite controller for the Switch during my travels from hotel to hotel. Nintendo’s Pro is comfortable and works fine, but it’s too large for traveling lightly. The 8bitDo Pro is slimmer and operates just like a beefed up SNES controller. I would stick with Nintendo’s Pro Controller for casual gaming at home, but this is the choice for when I travel with my Switch w/ Satisfye Pro and a Genki Saya bag.

   Not bad for extra larger hands, I’d say this is for Medium to Large hands/gloves users. Where as the other 8bitDo controllers that don’t have hand grips attached are for the Small to Medium users. Those are much better for traveling without a medium sized bag, great for the pocket or backpack sleeve.

   I have PS5 controllers and prefer them by far for familiarity. But, on PC, you have to do some tricks to make PS5 controllers work to their best. This 8Bitdo controller just works. Feels good in hand and is easy to use. Sad that you have to pay a bit more for a case that should be standard issue. Overall, glad I have it for when I just need a controller that works on multiple platforms without extra software.

   I usually don’t write reviews, but I absolutely love this controller. The Bluetooth works perfectly with no lag at all, and it feels great in your hands—truly premium quality! It’s compatible with all my devices; what more could you ask for? I might even purchase the other styles of this controller in the future.

    I was looking for a controller to play games on Steam on my PC. The controller was easy to setup and had no issues connecting both directly wired or through Bluetooth. The buttons and joysticks all feel really good for responsiveness and it feels solidly built. I haven’t done much in the software yet but am happy to have the option to make adjustments and fine tune things. I’ve had issues with some controllers feeling awkward or painful, which isn’t the case with this controller. It feels comfortable even after long gaming sessions. I like the included case to protect it while not in use.
    Ive only had it for a few days so I’ll have to see how it’s performance holds up as well as battery life. Overall a great value especially compared to other options I was considering, and so far my first impressions while using it are very positive.

    Seems to be an amazing product. The only reason why I didn’t give a five stars rating is that with the black version, it’s almost impossible to see the writings on the controller. Definitely not as visible as what you see on the pictures.

The buttons are of quality, it vibrates very strongly, it’s easy to connect, the battery is very long-lasting and the storage bag that comes with the purchase is of the best quality.
