   I own several classic gaming clone consoles ranging from cheap to expensive. Sometimes I like to bring one of my cheaper consoles over to a friend’s house to play some games. I don’t feel comfortable bringing my nicer 8bitdo controllers. I picked these up shortly after buying Hyperkin’s bluetooth SNES controllers. Since these are 2.4 ghz controllers, they pair instantly when compared to bluetooth controllers. The build quality is not bad. These controllers have a feel that is similar to the controllers Nintendo bundled with the redesigned later model SNES, also know as the SNES Jr. They function properly. As far as price is concerned, you can’t go wrong. Both of these controllers cost the same amount as 1 of 8bitdo’s or Hyperkin’s SNES controllers.

   UPDATE: I ran into a slight issue with these controllers. I was trying to play some of the SFC Fire Pro Wrestling games off an Everdrive. A few of the games would not start when pressing the start button on these controllers. I later tried the games with 8bitdo 2.4 ghz controllers, and the start button worked properly. I still don’t know the reason for the issue.

   They’re great. Since my baby reaches for the cords I decided to get some wireless ones. These are easy to set up. The down side is the colorful one is a bit faulty. When holding Y it’ll release it and press it again on its own. It’s a problem for games that you have to carry stuff. The other one seems to be fine. Battery seems to be a good length. We’ve played 6 hours no charge needed.

   Edit. They’re not worth it. I had to plug my orginal controls to be able to play basic donkey kong levels.

   Great right out of the package! Worked flawlessly and battery life is long, not sure what others were complaining about when it comes to battery life. Unfortunately the Y button on both controllers stick after about a month just out of the return date.
