I ordered this GuileKeys leverless arcade controller for retro gaming on my Windows 11 PC via RetroArch. Initially, I was a bit skeptical about having 21 buttons, but the layout is so well done that I adapted rather quickly. The buttons all have a nice feel, and the response time is perfect. This controller is very comfortable to play with, and I love that there’s plenty of room for my palms to rest. Lastly, the RGB lighting effects are really cool, and there’s even some lighting underneath! Five stars all the way!

I purchased this with the hopes of it becoming my new controller, but can’t even use it. You have to update it out of the box or it won’t work, which I wouldn’t mind if it would actually update like it’s supposed to. Numerous hours wasted, money wasted, for an absolute waste of technology. Tried downloading the flash_nuke file and the GP2040 file. Wouldn’t do either, claiming that the thing wasn’t plugged into my pc. Tried it a friend’s pc, same issue. Attempted contact with Guilekeys themselves, no response. Absolute waste of time and I’m not sure how they’re still in business. Shame, too, because I wanted to experiment with a 21 button controller. Don’t waste your time. I’d give it zero stars, if possible, but akiya-switch.com won’t let me.

I have several leverless controllers and this is one of my favorites. This thing is beautiful when all lit up. I have buttons color coordinated so I know what ones I’m pressing. Also have it set up so that the left side works as the left analog and the right side works as the right analog and then I have all my active buttons set. Plenty of buttons for everything. Reconfigurable through the fantastically, consistently updated GP2040-CE web configurator as well as through the on board screen menu system. Like most of these types of boards they do not come compatible with PS5 and Xbox Series XS out of the box so I highly recommend the Brooks Wingman FGC2 for PS5 or XB3 for Xbox. The build quality is fantastic within acrylic design. The value for what you get is second to none. Finally, the support on their discord server is amazing. This is the company to watch for. Very innovative and I feel them doing big things going forward in the controller business.

I chose the gk21 because it has more buttons than any other leverless controller under $100. I’m very pleased with its performance. The layout is not perfect to my hand size, but it’s not bad by any means. All the buttons are fully customizable using a web browser configuration site. Definitely a learning curve if you want to take full advantage of the features. Thankfully Guilekeys customer support (found on their discord server) was extremely helpful. Quick to respond, polite, patient, and friendly to me; even after many, MANY questions. Highly recommended this one if you’re looking to get into all-button controllers.
