My 12 year old son usually plays through his games quickly and tosses them aside, but this one still has him intrigued and challenged! He says it’s one of his favorites.

Let me say I really do enjoy the game. The whole way it’s put together is great and I love the art. However, the fighting mechanics are horrible. I usually play games on the hardest setting and the standard mode on this makes me want to smash my switch. The difference between regular game play and fighting a boss is horrendous. If you get hit once you do not have any chance to gain your feet and it’s mostly game over. I’ve had to watch a video on how to beat almost every single boss which is extremely frustrating. There are also those old game mechanics where you need to jump and grab a ledge but if you don’t stand in the exact spot he won’t grab on. Best to just run and jump at it. That being said I would recommend it but provide this warning when I do. I look forward to playing the second it just hope they worked the bugs out.

Bought this game on a total gamble having never heard of it before. It reminded me of David Petersen’s MOUSE GUARD comic, and this game absolutely delivers!
Graphics: I love the 2D graphics and it definitely feels like a comic come to life.
Gameplay: I love there is an easy/storytelling mode. End result? I just get to play through the story without having to spend tons of time trying to figure out how to play … and how to not die.
Story: Definitely a solid story being told. Great game.

My husband is a gamer so I bought the game for our “iron” anniversary. 😂❤️ He absolutely loved it. I would describe it as a “metroidvania” or action RPG, you can explore different towns and you control the fighting. A great game and a great find… buy it if this is a game style you like. 🎮

I love Tails of Iron, from the beautiful art and backgrounds to the characters, enemies, armor, weapons, and story. I’ve had a lot of fun playing it. Unfortunately, I wouldn’t recommend this version of the game for now. This is, hands down, the glitchiest game I’ve owned on Switch.
The game routinely crashes on me, and does so at the most inopportune times. For example, on at least two occasions the game crashed after I beat the final boss. Imagine fastidiously memorizing attack patterns and finally pulling out the win, only to have the game crash and make you do it again. The post-game content was virtually unplayable for the same reason, with frequent crashes making me want to pull my hair out. None of the basic trouble-shooting steps for any game on Switch seemed to help, and emails to the studio and developer went unanswered.
I wouldn’t tell anyone not to buy or play the game–Just maybe not this version, not for now. Hopefully they’ll get things sorted out over the next few months for much more seamless game play, but we’re just not there yet for this version.

My 9 year old son loved this game and I was happy to see him play a game that wasn’t filled with zombies…my only wish is that he would have set it to difficult and taken longer to finish the entire game because he spent one Saturday on it an came to tell me he beat the game. He was happy playing it and I enjoyed watching his little rat get armor upgrades and defeat toads. akiya-switch.com definitely had the best option price wise too.

One of the best, smaller time games I’ve played. Artistic graphics, good story, and fun semi challenging gameplay!
