My overall opinion of the game is amazing! I’ve played Super Monkey Ball since I was little, and this game did not disappoint! I got back many nostalgic memories from the characters, levels, and mini-games themselves!
What’s more is that this package comes with the extra clothing DLC (not a huge deal, but at least their giving you something!) and comes with a booklet detailing the years of Super Monkey Ball, from the very start all the way to now! The extra package makes it feel more premium.
I gave this 4 stars because I was a little disappointed with how the mini-games turned out. It seems rushed or incomplete, which is unfortunate. However, the rest of the game was spot on for me, and I’m sure any monkey lover will enjoy this addition!

This is close to capturing the feel of the original game cube games. It feels only slightly off. Probably the closest any game has come in years. It almost feels right…
Except Monkey Target. I don’t know what they did, but it is awful. They took one of the best games in Super Monkey Ball and absolutely ruined it. It is unplayable it is so bad.
Outside that, the game is the best monkey ball since the Game Cube originals. Not perfect, but very close.

No, the physics aren’t a perfect recreation of the GameCube games, and yes, Target feels weirdly bad which is a shame. But the rest of the package is tons of fun, the physics are definitely more than acceptable (that complaint is very overblown, imho) and the amount of content here is nuts, especially for the price. If you’re new to the series, you’ll love it and if you’re a long time fan there’s really no reason to be disappointed with what you get here, especially relative to the price. This is a great tribute to a great game series and was obviously made with affection. Worth picking up if you like the prior games or just want some great party games for your switch.
