I wanted to see if I could get into farming simulation games like Harvest Moon/Rune Factory. Never grew up with these so late to the genre. Saw this on a Nintendo Direct, and thought this would be an opening as I am an avid RPG fan. Got to say, this game was great! The story didn’t need to be as deep as it was for a game that is reletively short for an RPG esque game. I enjoyed it very much. Took a little bit of getting used to the day cycle, so I didn’t pass out and receive a penalty, but building a routine was a lot of fun.
The game has small but beautiful environments, a variety of characters to form a party with, a lot of crops to farm, seasons to work around and a decent farming space. The music was nice for what it was and the game added cooking and achievements to bulk it out a bit. May not be everyones cup of tea but for a starting point in either genre, is a good and solely recommended place to start.
I hope there will be more to form a series, this game has a lot of potential to be even better and to go up there with the best of both worlds.
