   I bought this cheap on akiya-switch.com and played it while off sick one week in between playing a couple of shooters. This is a first person game where you explore, talk to NPCs, and gather clues to solve a Lovecraftian inspired mystery. There is no fighting, and only a short section of exceedingly basic shooting at the very end of the game. So don’t buy it ecpecting action. It is slow and story driven with some stealth and light RPG mechanics. Upgrading character stats allows you to find hidden or correctly interpret clues found during exploration or dialogue. Very basic but adds a bit of variety. It took me about 2 days to beat the game, but it could be done in a one day marathon session. I found the game to be a welcome break from the shooters I played before and after this one. If you’ve played and enjoyed the telltale point and click adventure games then this will be very similar, but lacking the often annoying QuickTime events. So if that kind of game is fun to you, then this one will be too.

   Just kinda picked this up randomly, Knew really nothing about it but was pleasantly surprised. Story keeps you hooked the whole way and with multiple endings, I’m definitely gonna be going for another playthrough.

   Edited review: I have changed my review, as well as increased the amount of stars. I do this because once my original problems were dealt with I received a brand new copy in a very quick amount of time. This new copy has no problems and I have enjoyed it so far. A few graphical problems here and there, but to be expected on the switch hardware. I thank the distributor for getting me a new copy quickly. However I will still be leaving my original review below to show people what happened to mine incase they come across something similar. Original review: So I’d like to leave a review in the game; but unfortunately I cannot because I don’t want to touch it. For some reason mine came covered in some sort of oil. And the oil was inside the vacuum sealed plastic wrapping which has coated the box, not to mention ruined some of the artwork as well, and now I don’t want to touch it because it feels so slimy and sticky. Plus I don’t know what it would do to my switch system if I did put it in I ordered multiple at games, and they all came in at once. This was the only game to come ruined like this. Once the issue is resolved I will change the review to actually talking about the game, but as of now I don’t even want to touch it yet For now I will rate as 2 stars but that’s because I’m too afraid to even touch the game let alone put it into my switch

   I wasn’t in a hurry to play this game. I was worried because of some reviews I’ve read. I know ign gave it a great review, but they were about the only one. My friend started to play it and he was telling me how good it was, so I finally played it.
   First off, it is a perfect Halloween horror game. The story, the atmosphere, the designs and the graphics are all top notch. It isn’t the longest game, about 14 hours. But it is a great game. I loved it.
   And I’m not prone to being scared, but this game had me hilariously jumping out of my chair twice. And I normally hate 1st person gameplay, but in this game, the movement was butter smooth and immersive and totally worked.
   So glad I finally played this game. It’s as gorgeous as it is interesting. Fun game. Ign’s rating got it right.

    I bought this for my fiancé for an early Christmas present who is a huge fan of H.P Lovecraft and horror video games. He loves this game. The graphics are good and it is so creepy.
